Trinity Draked Engine head

According to the Trinity website this is a spy shot of a new cooling head for the Adam Drake line of Trinity engines. I thought it was nice that the spy gave Trinity the photo and the permission to put it on their website…

Check this “Spy Shot” taken by an unknown source in the building at Trinity. It shows a negative of a new Trinity Product before it even has a part number. Ask your local hobby shop to call and ask about it asap.

GO Tech 21R – GR Racing modified

GO Tech 21R - GR Racing modified

South Korea based GR Racing have produced yet another work of art as far as the workmanship is concerned as seen in photos relased from their latest project. Taking the GO Tech 21R buggy engine, GR Racing have done lots of work to it to get it up to a claimed 2.85hp @ 39.000 rpm. This 5 port engine features tear dropping work on the liner, lightening and optimising of the crankshaft, some internal porting as well as the use of ceramic bearings throughout. No release date has yet been given.

Nam & Kanyun win Rd3 of Serpent Korean Cup

Nam & Kanyun win Serpent Korean Cup Rd3

Serpent are reporting on their site from the 3rd round of the Serpent Korea Cup that took place at the Kirina Circuit last weekend. Qualifying saw Serpent development driver Nam SangJun that the top qualifying spot in both the 200mm and 1/8th scale classes. The 18 year old easily converted his 1/10th pole position into victory winning the 40-minute final by a clear 2 laps ahead of Kim KiYoul in 2nd and Ahn HyunHo in 3rd. In the 1/8th scale final the current Korean National Champion was struck by engine trouble which forced him to retire 1/4 way into the race which left Serpent team mate Kyun DooHyun to take the win in front of NamGung Wook in 2nd and Jang JiHwan in 3rd.

Kartanegara wins Rd2 of Indonesian Nats

Kartanegara wins Rd2 of Indonesian Nats

Xray are reporting on their site from the 2nd round of the Indonesian National Championships for electric touring cars held recently at Jakarta’s International Twin Circuit facility. In qualfiying it was Xray driver Didi Kartanegara that took the TQ spot in the Foam Mod class while in the Rubber Mod class the top qualifying spot went to another Xray, that of Yung Yung. After the 3 finals in each class it was a win in Foam Mod for Kartanegara, ahead of team mates Bowie and Freddy in 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in the rubber class the win went to Yung ahead of Sutrisno in 2nd and Kartanegara in 3rd.

Axe Cobra 214R21 X1 Evolution

Axe Cobra, the Italian engine manufacturer that has just won the European Championships with Robert Batlle, have announced that the engine that powered the Spanish driver to the title will be available for sale in September. The engine, called the 214R21 COBRA X1, features a new crankshaft with a special plastic insert, a rear ceramic ball bearing, turbo glow plug head and other small changes.

Neil Cragg wins 2wd European Champs

Neil Cragg wins 2wd European Champs

The 2007 European Championships for electric powered buggies are being run in Vaasa, Finland this week and already the 2wd event is history. Qualifying saw a dominant display by current World Champion Neil Cragg, the Associated driver winning all 5 heats to stamp his authority on the event and claim the pole position. The 2nd place went to Hupo Honigl racing a Losi buggy while in 3rd was another Associated, that of Lee Martin. In the finals it was again all about Cragg who won the first 2 finals and with it the crown, but he didnt have it all his own way having been heavily hounded by Lee Martin in final 2, a roll by Martin saw his chance for the win over and the crown go to Cragg. Neil sat out the 3rd final and this allowed Martin to take the win and with it the 2nd place overall, while the last step of the podium went to Honigl in 3rd.
