Merlin Depta wins at North German IC Track regionals

Last weekend the North German IC Track regionals took place at the MACH track in Hamburg. With rain on Saturday and only two hours of practice in the afternoon almost everybody would start out of the cold on Sunday. Qualifying in 2nd spot behind TQ Lennart Skornia (Serpent), it was Merlin Depta (Serpent) who pulled away right from the start of the A-main and after the 30-minute encounter Merlin would cross the finish line a lap in front of ARC’s Lars Hoppe with Shepherd’s Timo Schröder rounding out the Podium in 3rd.

Futaba HPS-CT700 low-profile servo – Coming soon

During this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan, Futaba are presenting their forthcoming new HPS-CT700 low-profile servo. Housed in an aluminium case the high-voltage compatible servo pulls 24.8kg-cm of torque with a speed of 0.09s at 6.0V input which makes it powerful enough even for demanding nitro applications. An all-black wire makes for a stealthy factory appearance. Full information will become available in time for the release. Also coming is an aluminium steering wheel housing for the 7PX high-end radio system. Made to replace the standard composite part, the exclusive alloy item will improve case stiffness and thus steering precision and handling of the transmitter.
