McFactory B6.1 LCG titanium chassis

The ultimate advantage for any B6.1 racer, McFactory introduces their new LCG titanium chassis. Measuring out at 0.7mm thinner yet 35g heavier than the original AE chassis, the titanium chassis will provide an advantage especially in high traction conditions where slick tires are used, on astro turf and generally when racing on carpet. Absima MKS X5 HBL550 & HBL550L servos

Absima have introduced their new Absima MKS X5 HBL550 standard and HBL550L low-profile servos. Designed for no compromise competition applications the HBL550 (0.085s/38kg-cm) and HBL550L (0.06s/15kg-cm) both utilise machined all-aluminium cases with heatsink middle sections, powerful yet efficient brushless motors, sturdy metal alloy geartrains for durability and dual ball bearings for precision. The HBL550 standard size servo, best used in 1/8th and 1/10th nitro applications, is usable with 6V to 8.2V input while the HBL550L low-profile servo, ideal for 1/10th buggies and touring cars, has a 4.8V to 7.4V voltage range. Both servos sport black receiver wires for pro looks and they are available from now on.

Mibosport Cup Rd4 – Report

The fourth and penultimate round of the popular Mibosport Cup was held this past weekend in Hrotovice, Czech Republic. The first round after the Christmas break attracted 215 entries from eight countries to battle it out in the multiple electric on-road and off-road classes. The weekend kicked off with lots of practice on Friday followed by Saturday’s racing. In Touring Modified Zdenko Kunak was one of the pre-event favourites and he prove everyone right although, things were pretty tight after the controlled practice. However after taking the TQ he also brought home the win after the finals. Oliver tried everything to keep in touch but his efforts didn’t pay off as the young man had to settle for 2nd overall. Matej Sulc lacked pace in the finals and rather competed with Kuba Simurda right behind him. After all he managed to stay on his 3rd position. Kuba Simurda finished 4th and Radek Flek came in 5th.

Zhao & Miller win at 2019 Ice Breaker

LSR Speedway of Sacramento, California held their 2019 Ice Breaker race last weekend. The event attracted 170 entries and in 2WD Expert Stock Buggy it was Yokomo’s Patrick Zhao with the overall TQ. Patrick then went on to win A-mains 1 and 2 for an early overall victory from Yokomo teammates Lucas Wedsted in 2nd and Nick Miller in 3rd. In the 13.5T Stadium Truck class it was Nick Miller with the TQ and win as he left behind Doug Lariviere and Chris Silva in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Justin Fales wins Pro E-Buggy at 2019 SIC

The 2019 Southern Indoor Championship was held this past weekend in Autaugaville, Alabama. The event attracted over 550 entries and in the competitive Pro E-Buggy class it was as HB Racing’s Cole Ogden with the overall TQ. However after the double A-mains it was Serpent’s Justin Fales with the win, courtesy of winning A1 with a lap merging and coming in 2nd in A2. Cole Ogden had to settle for 2nd overall in front of Agama driver Ryan Lutz. Serpent’s Billy Easton came in 4th from Jacob Hardison 5th.

Mike Lewis wins Winter Nitro X Cross Rd3

The third round of the popular Winter Nitro X Cross series was held at the Ledbury Model Car Club over the weekend. In Nitro Buggy it was Mike Lewis with the overall TQ and also the win in the 20-minute A-main, some eight seconds in front of Matt Lewis. Lloyd Pitt would wound out the all-Team-Associated top 3 two laps down.

GForce Assault 3500mAh 7.6V LiHV battery pack

GForce have introduced their new lightweight 3500mAh 7.6V LiHV shorty battery pack. It is built using high-quality 60C/110C cells for best possible power output and a lower internal resistance. The pack weighs in at only 155g and has a footprint of 93x46mm at a LCG height of only 18mm, making it usable for 1/12th and 1/10th scale pan cars, lightweight buggies and M-class on-road cars alike.

Team Corally SBX-410 1/10th 4WD buggy – Coming soon

Team Corally have revealed first images of their forthcoming SBX-10 1/10th scale 4WD competition buggy kit. No official details in regards of features or specifications are available yet but looking at the CAD renderings the buggy will be decked out with big bore shock absorbers, carbon fibre shock towers, adjustable front and rear swaybars, and alloy suspension inserts with hinge pin inserts. The kit seems to utilise a shaft drivetrain for high efficiency. Full details will become available in time for the release that is scheduled for the end week of February. Update: In the meantime Corally have released additional body-off images, showing the buggy is indeed equipped with a class-standard shaft-design drivetrain, utilising a rear motor/rear battery layout in the images. We bring you more details as they surface.
