Xray XB2 short 2-pad slipper clutch set

Coming from Xray and made for the XB2 2WD buggy is the new short 2-pad slipper clutch set. The redesigned slipper clutch allows the rear shock absorbers to be mounted in front of the rear arms. The frontward position increases stability on surfaces where the rear of the car collapses, particularly in high-speed corners. Team drivers also prefer this position on low-grip tracks. The 2-pad slipper clutch ensures super-smooth clutch operation and efficient, consistent braking. It is very easy to make ultra-fine adjustments to the slipper clutch externally. The slipper pads are made of ultra-efficient SLS material with very-high slip efficiency, thus allowing very precise adjustment. The lightweight slipper plates are machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6, additionally hardened before a final black surface treatment. The plates also have a machined relief which decreases the friction surface to assist with clutch slip adjustment. The set includes the slipper clutch assembly, 75T and 78T 48 pitch spur gears as well as a new motor plate.

RPM Revo 2.0 front arms

Coming from RPM and made for the Traxxas Revo 2.0 truck are left and right front arm sets. Traxxas has upgraded the arms for the 2.0 version of the popular truck, however when the goings gets hard, the arms can still become a weak point of the truck. While offering greater durability thanks to RPM’s renown nylon comping, the design of the arms with angled leading and trailing edges not only cut through the air cleaner and more efficiently, those same edges allow the A-arms to slip up and over tall objects with less chance of a direct impact stopping creating harm. While offering more durability than the standard arms, RPM’s variants also scrub about 10g of weight a pair, improving suspension efficiency. The front A-arms are moulded from RPM’s indestructible blend of engineering grade nylons and sold as one upper and one lower A-arm, as sets for the left or right hand side of the truck and in black or blue colour.

Coelho gets EOS campaign on track with 4WD win in Daun

Bruno Coelho has put his 4WD Euro Offroad Series campaign on track with victory at the third round in Daun, Germany.  Coming into the weekend with a four points deficit to reigning champion Michal Orlowski, the Xray driver was gifted an early overall win after a dramatic final lap in A2.  Starting from the TQ and having won A1, Coelho threw things wide open on the opening lap with an identical first lap error to that of 2WD Top Qualifier Orlowski in yesterday’s opening 2WD A-Main. At the table top, Coelho’s car jumped wide off the landing and ended up in the infield allowing four cars to go by.  Recovering 2 of those places and suffering an error while attempting to challenge Orlowski for second, the Portuguese was settling for third but then as leader Joona Haatanen started his final lap be crashed at the corner jump breaking his car which was then collected by Orlowski allowing Coelho who had been some distance back to slip through for his second win of the day, again ahead of team-mate Daniel Kobbevik, and take his first EOS win since the penultimate round of last season’s championship in Wels, Austria.  Those results would stand to young Kobbevik helping him secure his first podium double weekend while victory in A3 was enough for Orlowski to secure 2nd.
