The first Xray Challenge in the nitro class where only NT1 cars were allowed to start was held in the Hong Kong. The race was held on August 15-16, 2009 at the big track situated approximately 60km from Honk Kong City. Drivers from Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Macau, China, Indonesia, Philippines, United Kingdom, and Slovakia participated in this race whose main purpose was to have fun and enjoy racing. Having previously released the precision made option parts for the 966 and NT1 in the past, Hong Kong based manufacturer CSO, have released their CNC machined 7075 T6 front bulkheads for the Xray NT1. Hong Kong based CSO have announced the release of some new parts for the Xray NT1. First up is a super lightweight flywheel, made from 7075 T6 aluminium and hard coated, which retains the same dimensions as the original but is now only 4.4 grams, a weight saving of 30% over the original. Alan Yau from Hong Kong using his Mugen had well prepared for the Rain race so he had no problem making the fastest lap and finishing first, in front of Tsui Kai Leung in 2nd with his NT1 with Chan Kai Man, also with a NT1, came 3rd. VP Pro have introduced a full line-up of option parts for the Xray NT1 200mm chassis. Positioned under the Pro-Cision name, the options include titanium CVD axles & pivot balls, aluminium rear anti-roll bar set, wheel adaptors and shaft spacers as well as new front anti-roll bars and a hard coated alu brake disc.
