RC-Cox T4 aluminium front solid axle outdrives

Coming from RC-Cox and made for the Xray T4 series of touring cars are front spool driveshaft adapters. The outdrives are machined from lightweight yet strong 7075-T6 aluminium and are finished with a special coating for improved wear resistance. Also included are C-shaped driveshaft blades in black colour. The driveshaft adapters are usable for all T4 series cars and they help to reduce rotational masses for quicker spool-up and thus better acceleration.

Jesper Rasmussen wins at Danish On-road Champs Rd5

Round 5 of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals was held in Tinglev this past weekend. In the Formula class, that suffered from a somewhat low turnout, it was Jesper Rasmussen with a clean sweep, taking the wins in all qualifiers and the triple A-mains to grab the victory from David Hansen in 2nd and Lasse Moller Horup in 3rd.

Vesa Yli takes Finnish 1/12th Modified title

Round 3 and 4 of the Finnish 12Track Tour were held this past weekend. During Sunday’s round 4 Vesa Yli and Panu Vehniäinen would battle it out in the 1/12th Modified class with the better end for Vesa after the qualifiers as he managed to separate himself from Panu by a couple of seconds. The triple A-mains again were a super close affair with the two being separated by only tenths of a second in each leg. Ultimately it was Vesa with the win from Panu, which handed Yli the overall championship title – his third in a row. Panu would end the championship on the runner-up spot while Petri Ström and Ari-Pekka Kyykkä completed the overall top 4. Over in the GT-12 class it was Jaakko Huhmarsalo with the overall title from Juha-Matti Heikkala and Janne Valtanen in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

SWorkz S35-3/GT-series gearbox set

Coming from SWorkz and made for their S35-3 series off-road and GT cars is an updated gearbox set. It now utilises 5x13x4mm ball bearings which is especially helpful for the GT cars as the ball races can handle higher RPM while creating less temperature all while retaining a smooth and efficient drivetrain. The gearbox fits all 35-3 series and GT cars.

Apolaro & Martinez win at Florida Winternats

The annual Florida Winternats were held in Fort Myers, Florida this past weekend. The event attracted some of the country’s fastest nitro on-road drivers as well as guests from abroad and in the premier 1/8 Open class is was a battle in qualifying with Paolo Morganti and DJ Apolaro. Turning similar lap times all weekend it was Paolo that got the TQ, as he made better drives with less mistakes. In the final however it was DJ Apolaro with less mistakes over the 45 minute main event. DJ Apolaro (Capricorn) would come out on top 11 seconds in front of Paolo Morganti (Capricorn) in 2nd and Lon Burling (Serpent) in 3rd some nine laps back.

Pro-Line 2.8”LP stadium truck tyres

Coming for trucks such as the Traxxas Rustler 2WD or 4×4 are three new specialised 2.8” tyres from Pro-Line. Starting with the Trencher LP 2.8” all-terrain tyre, the tread is ideal when running in loose or hard-packed dirt, sand, snow, street or gravel conditions. The Trencher LP 2.8” is a direct replacement tyre and will fit on any 2.8” wheels including all of Pro-Line’s 2.8” wheel options. The Trencher tread was designed to have ultimate traction combined with long-lasting durability. Each tyre lug is shaped to dig into whatever surface modellers are running on and is ultra-thick so that it is extremely durable. Next up is the Sand Paw LP 2.8” tyre. There is nothing like the rush of ripping through the sand dunes or shredding the fresh powdery snow with a high-powered truck. Usual tyres will just slip around in the sand and snow, but the Sand Paw LP tyre will grip, rip and roost. The 2.8” tyre will fit most 2.8” wheels. Last but not least comes the Street Fighter LP 2.8” tyre that has the perfect balance of G force enhancement and style that will keep the truck turning heads. Yokomo BD9 2.0mm hard carbon fibre main chassis plate

Coming soon from Yokomo is a new 2.0mm carbon fibre main chassis place cut from a harder graphite material. Thinner than the standard kit carbon fibre chassis yet harder thanks to a special graphite material, the chassis is an in-between solution for tracks that require a harder chassis than the standard kit carbon plate, yet need a softer solution than an aluminium plate. In addition the reduced thickness allows to run lower roll centre settings which can help in lower grip conditions. The chassis is precision machined to the highest standards, ensuring straight and tweak-free alignment of all parts, ensuring equal left-to-right flex and steering characteristics.

Pro-Line Super J & Octane drag racing body shells

Pro-Line have introduced their new Super J and Octane drag racing body shells for converted Slash-type short course trucks. Starting with the Super J, PL’s first-ever body dedicated to the ever-growing SC drag racing class, the full-blown Pro-Mod body will transform the Traxxas Slash 2WD into a scale quartermile beast. This retro custom hot-rod style body features a ton of scale details to give any SC drag car a super unique, race-inspired look. The Super J is a convenient 1-piece body design with no assembly necessary. Pro-Line recommend using a 2.2” buggy wheel/tyre combo on the front combined with a 2.2”/3.0” SC wheel/tyre in the rear for the ultimate scale hot-rod stance. However, to create a more scale look, the body is designed with a narrower track width than a traditional SC body and will require some modifications to the 2WD Slash in order to fit correctly.
