Trinity have announced that they have signed US off-road frontrunner, Dakotah Phend, to their factory team. The multi-time ROAR national champion and former long-time Team Orion driver will lead their modified motor division, using Trinity and Revtech motors and batteries.

Another new body shell coming out of the JConcepts labs is the Finnisher design body for the HB Racing D817T. The winner of the 2016 ROAR National Championship, the Finnisher body in the hands of Ryan Maifield is a proven racing commodity. JConcepts is here to support the 1/8th truck class with a Finnisher body which is a drop fit on to the HB Racing D817T nitro and E817T electric racing trucks. The lid incorporates pre-dimpled locations and with the slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance highlight a performance oriented core. A wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for the unique D817T/E817T shock geometry available using the #HB204425 front shock tower. The body incorporates a large centre fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. Extended front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight while the supplied decals stand-out like an 18 wheeler. The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum outdoor performance. The new body includes champion rear name plates which provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.
Maxima Mx Europa have announced the signing of Robert Batlle to their Factory Team until 2020. Robert has a long list of racing achievements including multiple national and international titles and his strong dedication and passion for the sport are expressed in each race he attends. Yokomo has announced the signing of top Northwest driver Harley Yoshii to their 2019 USA factory race team. Harley is located in Olympia, Washington and extremely well known in the Northwest as Tacoma R/C Raceway’s top gun. Harley will make his official Yokomo debut at the 2019 Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions in just a few short weeks with his Muchmore powered Yokomo rides on JConcepts tires.

Coming from JConcepts is a line of lightweight Silencer 1/8th buggy body shells. The range includes variants for the Mugen MBX8 and MBX7, HB Racing D817V2 and D812 as well as the Team Associated RC8B3.1. All are made of high-quality polycarbonate material and their lower weight compared to the regular weight bodies makes for less chassis roll in high-grip track conditions. All come including window masks and decal sheets.
Following a lot of rumours on social media Tekno have finally announced the signing of Jared Tebo to their factory team. Not only is Jared regarded as one of the best drivers in the world, but as a former world champion he brings a wealth of experience to the team. Jared will be racing as well as assisting in the setup and development of Tekno’s entire lineup of 1/8th and 1/10th vehicles. The former long-time Kyosho driver had the following to say:
I am beyond excited to be joining the Tekno family for 2019 and 2020! I’ve noticed the growth in customers and the great track presence that they’ve had, and that’s something I wanted to be a part of. Daniel and Matt attend a lot of races, and you can see the passion they have for RC cars and the industry. Titchfield Off Road Club Hants held their 2018 Festive Fun Meeting this past weekend. Yokomo’s Lee Martin would top qualify the 2WD Buggy class as Yokomo driver Jon Hazlewood wrapped up the 4WD Buggy qualifying. With a clean sweep in all three A-mains Lee then also took the day’s overall win in 2WD from Stephen Brown (Schumacher) in 2nd and Yokomo driver Yasir Mughal in 3rd.
