Arrowmax 64 & 48 pitch moulded pinion gears

Arrowmax have announced the release of their new moulded pinion gears in 64 pitch and 48 pitch. Using an anti-slip golden-anodised aluminium hub and high strength anti-wear composites, the moulded lightweight design has been thoroughly track-tested ensure the pinions will withstand the rigours of both on-road and off-road stock racing. Using the gears will improve overall drivetrain efficiency, throttle feel and power. The 64 pitch gears are available in 34T to 70T configuration while the 48 pitch pinions are available in 25T to 40T sizes.

RC Maker Geo carbon wing endplates

RC Maker have introduced their brand new Geo carbon wing endplates for 1/10th touring cars. Light weight and durable, they give a body the ultimate sexy look. Machined pockets give the end plate a 3D geometric look, whilst also maintaining strength and they are meant to increase the car’s stability all round, especially on the straight. The set includes two pairs of endplates that fit most 1/10th touring car rear wings. Please note that some tracks and racing series do not allow the use of carbon fibre parts on the body shells or wings – be sure to check with the organisers before using them.

Infinity Silicone differential oils

Infinity has extended its range of high performance silicone diff oils with the addition of five new high viscosity oils. Using carefully selected silicone oil, the new 60K, 100K, 300K, 500K and 1 million viscosity offerings are professionally controlled during production. This ensures an accuracy that gives racers a reliable source of consistency when selecting the correct oil for the set-up they are aiming to achieve. The 60K and 100K oil comes in 60cc bottles as with the previous oils in the range while the 300K, 500K and 1 million comes in 30cc container.

Machined from high-quality brass material and coming in a natural finish, the mount is a direct fit and usable with the kit’s composite hinge pin inserts, allowing for swift and easy suspension geometry changes while adding weight to the front or rear corner of the car which can be beneficial in certain track conditions.

Hobbywing QuicRun WP 880 Dual Brushed ESC

Coming from Hobbywing is their new QuicRun WP 880 Dual Brushed electronic speed controller. The ESC allows to operate two brushed motors simultaneously, making it the ideal choice for dual motor monster trucks. Adjustable PWM frequency and advanced DEO/freewheeling technology ensures exceptional throttle linearity and driving feel while fine-tuneable drag brake rates and brake force rates provide great stopping power. 15 programmable parameters allow to adapt the controller to a wide range of vehicles and applications and thanks to being dust and waterproof, the controller allows to go everywhere in nearly all weather and track conditions. A separate PRG/FAN port on the ESC allows to power and additional fan unit for maximised cooling performance and to connect an optional LED program box for ESC programming.

Prümper & Mächler successful at 2019 GP3F

The French MRC Longwy club hosted their annual Grand Prix des 3 Frontières this past weekend. Run in Touring Modified and Stock classes the event attracted many of Europe’s fastest electric on-road drivers with Infinity’s Marc Rheinard leading the way in TC Mod after the qualifiers from Infinity teammate, Yannic Prümper in 2nd. Awesomatix’s Lucas Urbain and Freddy Südhoff came in 3rd and 4th respectively. The finals then saw Yannic coming out on top in A1 and A3 while Marc went on to win A2, cementing his overall runner-up position following nice battles with his teammate. Xray’s Bruno Coelho came in 3rd in the opening A-main, however Lucas Urbain would grab the 3 spot overall after the triple A-mains.

MKS X5 series HBL550 & HBL550LX servos

MKS have introduced their new X5 series HBL550 and HBL550LX high-voltage servos, more affordably-priced variants of the X6 line. Both offer high-quality aluminium heatsink cases, indirect drive, brushless motors, double ball bearings and alloy gears. The standard-size HBL550 (0.085s/38kg-cm @8.4V) was designed especially for demanding 1/8th scale racing while the HBL550LX low-profile servo (0.08s/16kg-cm @7.4V) will excel in all 1/10th on-road and off-road applications.

Xray Racing Series Shanghai – Report

The Xray Racing Series Shanghai was held at the RCI V2 indoor track in Shanghai, China this past weekend. The event saw some competitive racing between China’s top drivers and in the premier Touring Modified class, it was Xray’s reigning Chinese National Champion, Gary Huang taking a close win over veteran racer Wang Hai Feng (Yokomo), while young up and coming Chinese Xray driver Marco Ma completed the podium in 3rd.
