Surpass Rocket Taurus 1/8th brushless motors

Coming from Surpass Hobby are their new Rocket Taurus 1/8th scale electric brushless motors. They utilise a high-strength 7075 aluminium case in a red and black bi-colour design and feature a special winding technology for exceptional power and efficiency of the 4-pole motors. Highest quality components such as US-imported copper and Japanese ceramic bearings ensure high power output as to heavy-duty solder terminals. Other features include a fully rebuildable design, CCW or CW timing adjustment, and the ability to mount the morons using either two M4 or four M3 screws. The Rocket Taurus series motors are available in a open can 4268 on-road variant in 2700kV, 2350kV, 2000kV, 1850kV or 1550kV specification and also as 4274 off-road variant in 2200kV, 1950kV, 1700k, 1500kV or 1400kV specs. Both motors are designed to comply with IFMAR, ROAR, EFRA and BRCA rules.

Nemo Racing dual car carry bag

Nemo Racing have introduced their new dual carry bag. The bag can be carried using the small handles on the side or, found in the rear zipped compartment are two straps that turn this bag into a backpack allowing to both carrying equipment from the car or travelling the world. Suitable for both 1/8th and 1/10th buggies and cars, this bag is capable of carrying two vehicles of either scale simultaneously or one car plus accessories, like up to 30 sets of spare tyres. On top of that, there is a further zip pocket for carrying manuals, set up sheets, decals, a pit board, towels etc. The padded main compartment provides the ideal protection for your most valuable RC items. The bag, made of 600D polyester, is branded with the Nemo Racing design to make it stand out from the crowd.

Keven Hebert Motiv-powered for 2019

Motiv have announced that Keven Hebert will be representing the brand in 2019. Other than Keven’s ability to compete with their products among the worlds best, he brings in many years of experience and most importantly a championship attitude that really makes the difference. Keven had this to say about the deal:

I am excited to be running for Motiv in 2019! Not many of you know this but when I first started racing, the first pro racer I met was Paul Lemieux, It was in 2002 at a race in Canada. Even though I could not speak English back then he was there to help and did everything he could to help me. 17 years later I am happy to be running for a company that has killer racer products made by one of the most genuine people in the industry. 2019 RC Lemans Series – Announcement

The popular Pro10 RC Lemans Series, held in Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands, is going into its 14th season this year with the championship kicking off on the weekend of the 28th of April in Rucphen, The Netherlands. The series is held in Pro10 Modified and 10.5T Zero Boost Stock classes and as 2-day events with free practice on Saturday and qualifiers and finals on Sunday. Intellect 2019 LiHV HV4 silicon-graphene battery range

UK Intellect distributors Schumacher have introduced the new 2019 range of LiHV competition battery packs. The updated LiHV HV4 Silicon-Graphene based packs will display a higher voltage and power than 2018 models while offering improved cycle time when charged at 1C rates. They can be charged at a higher C rating however, with less risk of damage to the pack. LIHV technology has the ability to be charged to 4.35v per cell, but normal racing regulations allow up to 4.2v so LiHV are considered much safer. To address market demands two options nominally are available in the form of Hi Power and Long RunTime packs. The range includes a 6000mAh high power LCG standard pack (22.5mm height, 270g), a 7000mAh long runtime standard pack (22.5mm, 270g), a 7600mAh lightweight stock standard pack (25.1mm, 305g), and a 8400mAh high power big stock standard pack (25.1mm, 330g).

RC-Cox T4 -0.5mm & -0.75mm wheel hubs

RC-Cox have introduced two negative off-set wheel hub sets for the Xray T4 2016 to 2019 series of cars. Coming as -0.5mm or -0.75mm variant the hex hubs reduce the overall track width which can be beneficial in certain track conditions or when running specific wheels. The hubs are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come black anodised, with etched size markings for easy identification and in sets of two.

Xpress XM1 series double joint driveshafts

Xpress have introduced a set of double joint driveshafts for the XM1S M-class 4WD touring car. They are a direct fit with the standard 5x10x4mm steering knuckle bearings and will greatly reduce the vibrations generated during cornering, resulting in improved drivetrain efficiency and better steering response.

Team Associated sign Alex Duchet

Team Associated have announced that top French and Euro Touring Series driver Alex Duchet has joined the 29-time IFMAR World Champion team. In conjunction with Ruddog Distribution GmbH and CML Distribution, Alex will be racing his Reedy-powered TC7.2 around Europe and in the ultra-competitive ETS series. Alex’s multi-year commitment will allow him to work closely with members of the staff to evolve the touring car platform and continue to deliver a quality product to our customers and racers. Ruddog Team Manager Andreas Myrberg had this to say about Alex joining the team, “To merely say I am excited about Alex joining Team Associated would be an understatement. Alex will be the perfect asset to both showing the performance of our car as well as helping to develop it further. His raw speed and dedicated approach will benefit us hugely. I am very much looking forward to working closely with him. Let’s go racing!
