The parts are machined from high-quality material, they add 40g weight per pair and their rigid construction improves the overall durability of the vehicle’s drivetrain. STRC TRX-4 aluminium diff covers

Coming from ST Racing Concepts and made for the Traxxas TRX-4 trail truck are CNC-machined aluminium diff covers. With the diff covers for any scale rig being the focal point of the front and rear drive axle, ST Racing Concepts now offers alloy covers for Traxxas’ popular truck. These diff covers add a bit more weight to the front and rear drive axle for better climbing performance while also improving visual impact. The parts are direct replacements and are available in anodized blue, black, gun metal, red and silver.

Samix CFX-W brass lower shock & suspension link mounts

Coming from Samix and made for the MST CFX-W truck are lower shock and suspension link mounts made of brass. The set includes four mounts that weigh in at 52g in total, adding weight to one of the lowest areas on the chassis for improved climb performance. In addition the metal mounts provide rigidity and durability which is essential when attacking challenging terrain.

SOAR 998 TD1-R 2018 1/8th nitro buggy – Coming soon

SOAR Seiki have released first renderings of their forthcoming 998 TD1-R 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. The kit is in the final stages of production and will hit stores soon. In the meantime SOAR pleases drivers with a couple of preview images with the full introduction being awaited in time for the release.

LFR EB410 A2 Tactic body shell

Leadfinger Racing have introduced their all-new A2 Tactic body shell for the Tekno RC EB410 off-road buggy. A fresh new look for the EB410, the body, that is set for a release in mid-November, offers an aggressive yet sleek cab forward design and a unique vented roof section for better cooling when used with an optional fan mount. The body shell is also made from thicker polycarbonate material for durability, it comes clear and without rear wing.

VP-Pro MP9-series aluminium shock towers

Coming from VP-Pro and made for the Kyosho MP9 series of nitro and electric buggies are black anodised aluminium shock towers. Available are two front shock stays, one for the nitro and one for the electric car while the rear tower is usable on both the GP and EP kits. The towers are cut from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, they come black anodised for looks and wear and their special shape makes body mounting much easier when combined with VP-Pro’s MP9 or MP9E bodies shells.

ROAR announce 2018 calendar dates & tracks

ROAR have announced the dates and tracks for their National Championships for 2018. Apex Raceway and Hobbies of Murfreesboro, Tennessee will play host to the Carpet Nationals from the 8th to 11th of March. The Electric Paved On-road Nationals will be held from April 26th to 29th at Ft. Myers RC Car Club in North Ft. Myers, Florida. The 1/8th Fuel Off-Road Nationals will be run from the 14th to the 17th of June at the Southside RC Raceway in Lake City, Florida, while the 1/8th Electric Off-Road and 4WD SCT Nationals will be held at HobbyTown Hobbyplex in Omaha, Nebraska from July 19th through to the 22nd. Hobby Action RC Raceay in Chandler, Arizona will play host to the 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals from August 16th to 19th while the Nitro On-road Nationals will be held at Nuggets Ranch Raceway in Pompano Beach, Florida from September 20th to 23rd.

Jarred King takes Australian 4WD Mod Buggy title

During the recent Australian 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals it was Xray’s Jarred King with the TQ and win in the 4WD Modified Buggy class. Jarred came out fastest after the qualifiers and he took the title by only 0.7s from Josh Pain (Xray) 2nd and Chris Sturdy (Team Associated) 3rd.
