Pro-Line introduce new 1.9” trail truck pre-mounts

Coming from Pro-Line are new pre-mounted tyres for 1.9” trail rigs. Available soon are the Hyrax 1.9” and Interco Bogger 1.9” tyre on Impulse black plastic internal bead-loc wheels. Designed from the ground up for maximum grip on the toughest terrain, the Hyrax tyre is ready for anything your Scale Adventure might throw at you. The Hyrax features an aggressive and open tread pattern with each tread block containing multiple Sipes for incredible tread flex. The highly detailed connected tread on the sidewall of the Hyrax extends out for exceptional side-hilling performance. The tyre also features futuristic stepped tread blocks that create even more forward gripping edges that dig into slick rocks. The officially licensed Interco Bogger tyres feature a directional tread pattern with the patented Interco TSL (three stage lug) design just like the full-size tyres. The tyres are aggressive in stock form and are also extremely versatile and easily modified for even more mud flinging performance. Both are a direct fit for most 1.9” crawler and trail trucks and they come in G8 crawler compound.

Pro-Line Air Force 2 6.5″ rear wing

Coming from Pro-Line is the new Air Force 2 lightweight 6.5” 1/10th buggy rear wing with centre fin. The AF2 wing is designed with the latest in CAD technology to meet extreme performance and durability specifications. It is made from lightweight but flexible material to get maximum strength and includes aerodynamic centre fin stabilisers for improved high-speed stability. Huge radiuses on the wing corners prevent cracks from starting and allow air to flow smoothly over the wing for exceptional performance. The wing comes in a pack that includes two wings and two centre fins.

Pro-Line Slide Job 2.2” dirt oval tyres

Following a first teaser image Pro-Line have officially introduced their new Slide Job 2.2” dirt oval off-road tyre. The tread pattern was inspired by the tyres found in full-size dirt oval racing so drivers can have realistic style and performance on their sprint cars or any 2.2” buggy tyre application. The Slide Job tyre features rounded side tread for consistent slide action that will not catch ruts and flip the car when it is thrown up into the corner. The multi-block tread pattern also creates great forward grip combined with long lasting and consistent performance and the tyre is available as front or rear variant in soft M3 compound, suitable for standard 2.2″ buggy wheels, and including blue closed cell inserts.

Xray XB2 Factory Team Carpet upgrade kit

Coming from Xray and made for the Xray XB2C Carpet Spec 2WD buggy is the Factory Team Carpet upgrade. The kit includes all of the parts used by Xray’s factory team when running their cars in carpet specification and so the set comes with all-new aluminium rear uprights, 9-position roll centre inserts, new upper roll centre blocks for up/down, in/out camber ballstud positioning using shims, and also longer driveshafts that need to be used when running the new setup. Using the parts will increase forward traction, braking performance and also overall side bite and stability.

JConcepts YZ-4 SF Aero front wing sets

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Yokomo YZ-4 SF 1/10th 4WD buggy are two new Aero front wings and a single front scoop kit. Mounted above or in front of the front shock tower on the Yokomo YZ4-SF vehicle, the Aero front wing mounts in “clean air” and is quite easy to trim, use and test without sacrificing all important track time. Coming in two widths, the driver can choose either the narrow variant for a lighter feel or wide for heavier down force. Cut lines are included for easy trimming while wing mount dimples are included for a bolt-on fit to the popular Yokomo YZ4-SF vehicle. Also new is the lower front scoop, an option to the tower mounted front wing that has shown to produce enhanced steering characteristics. The package includes a quantity of two items for additional use or to outfit multiple vehicles with one purchase. Ryan Maifield captured the 2017 IFMAR World Championship in the 4WD class using this item. Reports from the pit area revealed an increased feel and sensitivity in the larger sweeping sections and helped jumping attitude in the tricky section of the difficult Xiamen built track surface.

Orlowski in charge going into penultimate EOS encounter

Michal Orlowski goes into the penultimate round of the Euro Offroad Series this weekend (23-25 March) in Wels, Austria, in charge of proceedings, the Schumacher driver having completed a double victory in Slovakia last month. Achieving his second ever EOS career double, the reigning 2WD Champion leads the points standings in both 2WD and 4WD standings and will be looking to extend the 2-point advantage he holds in each of the championship’s annual stops at the popular Austrian hobby show ‘Modelbau Wels’. The closing round of the championship last year, both titles having already been wrapped up ahead of the race, Orlowski’s rivals will be out to ensure they keep their own title hopes alive going into the season finale. A first for the EOS, which is now in its 7th season, the final round will be played out at Arena 33’s all new outdoor astro track next month.

SWorkz introduce updated Zeus RTR monster truck

SWorkz’s Zeus 1/8th electric Pro monster truck has received an update with the latest vehicles utilising a “truggy” gear ratio for better acceleration with the included large diameter tyres. The update is a running change that will make for improved acceleration of the basher truck. The updated kit is available from now on.
