BRCA Electric Touring Nationals Rd2 – Report

Stafford in the heart of the UK was the venue for round two of the BRCA Touring Car series. Heading the Modified challenge was an on-form Olly Jefferies who had enjoyed a dominating win at round one while his domestic challengers in the form of Elliott Harper and Chris Grainger struggled and both these drivers needed a good round two result to get their 2018 challenge back on track. Zak Finlay was also looking to make it two out of two after a win at Cotswolds and he led away the drivers in the 13.5 Boosted Stock class. Blinky 13.5 looked pretty open and now on a track that wasn’t so reliant on power this class looked like it was going to be a close affair with Colin Jackson, Billy Fletcher and pole man from Cotswolds Markus Askell all in the mix.

Aerox Razor 1/10th 190mm touring car body shell

Schumacher Racing have introduced the new Aerox Razor high performance 190mm touring car body shell. Developed in cooperation with a leading Formula 1 aerodynamicist the body offers exceptional aerodynamic efficiency with the maximised double front splitter creating a pressure differential that provides front aerodynamic grip. An uniquely adjustable curved rear wing helps to adjust downforce, balance and drag while the upturned leading edge on the wing allows airflow to remain attached, improving its efficiency for more downforce and less drag. The maximised length of the body improves two aspects; firstly more surface area for developing load and thus downforce and reducing lift, and secondly drag reduction, as the air passing over the body has to work less hard, deviating at a lower angle than normal, reducing drag and increasing speed. The BRCA and ROAR approved lightweight body is supplied clear and it includes a wing and mounting hardware, overspray film, a lights and decal set as well as an instruction sheet.
