Norwegian 1/10th Buggy Nationals finale – Report

The final round of the Norwegian 1/10th Electric Buggy National Championship was held in Oslo. In the 2WD class it was Team Associated’s Joakim Nicolaisen with the TQ after the qualifiers with Serpent’s Marius Kristensen and Andreas Sandgrind in 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the opening A-main both Joakim and Marius had a clean start and they swiftly moved away from the field until Joakim made a small mistake that allowed Marius to take over the lead for a couple of laps until he made a mistake on the straight that promoted Joakim back into P1. From there Nicolaisen would be in control to bring home the win in A1.

TMG Speed ride height gauge & slider

TMG Speed have introduced their new ride height gauge and slider. The height gauge is adjustable between 15mm and 20mm but comes with two seats – one 5mm and one 10mm. This allows adjustment from 15mm to 30mm which is ideal for 1/10th and 1/8th applications. Also available now is the TMG slider which fits around the height gauge to easily allow to position the gauge without trying to reach under the car and getting a false height adjustment for the vehicle. The slider will also work well with TMG’s soon to be released 10mm to 15mm height gauge for indoor carpet setups.

Jesper Rasmussen takes double Danish Buggy title

The final round of the Danish 1/10th Electric Off-road National Championship was held this past weekend at the Odense RC Minirace track. Jesper Rasmussen was in total control of things in both the 2WD Modified and 4WD Modified Buggy classes and with TQs and wins in both categories he would take the double Danish title to round out a perfect season. The 2WD Mod and 4WD Mod top 3 at round 7 were completed by Jonas Kaerup and Frederik Hovgaard in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

VP-Pro have introduced their new aluminium stepped-design servo arm for throttle and brake applications. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming with a black anodised finish and machined silver edge details the servo arm is usable for all nitro car applications that require a stepped arm. The clamping design greatly improves reliability and the servo horn is available for 23T, 24T and 25T spline servos.

David Ronnefalk sweeps 2017 EFRA 1/8th E-Buggy Euros

The 2017 EFRA 1/8th Electric Buggy European Championship was held this past weekend in Velika Gorcia, Croatia. Unseasonal heavy rain had put the final Open Championship of the EFRA season in considerable doubt, as Saturday’s running had seen just one round of qualification run before the heavens opened, dropping biblical amounts of rain onto an already drenched surface in Velika Gorica. Luckily the rain stopped during the night and after some intensive track prep and several bags of sawdust the event was ready to go with a packed program of two qualifiers and then 3-legged finals for all.

Machined from high-quality titanium and coming in a natural finish and with etched markings for easy installation, the set makes for improved ground clearance, higher stability and better looks. Wesley van Helmond takes Belgian 2WD title

Round 5 of the Belgium 1/10th electric off-road championship was held at the MAC Vlijmen track recently. Wesley van Helmond was on fire in the 2WD Buggy class, taking the overall TQ and also the day’s win from Brent Ausloos 2nd and Wouter Wynen 3rd. With the win Wesley wrapped up the 2WD title, something he will also try to accomplish in the 4WD class at the forthcoming final round of the championship in a few weeks time.

Tekno release more EB410 images

Following a first series of images and information about their forthcoming EB410 1/10th 4WD buggy, Tekno have now gone a bit more into deep with part two of their introduction series. The latest instalment mainly focusses on the shaft drivetrain that is made up using tapered aluminium centre dogbone-style driveshafts and high-capacity front, centre and rear differentials. Other driveline features include CVA-style front and rear driveshafts with 6mm hardened steel stub axles that run in large inner wheel bearings.
