Ty Tessmann takes 2017 ROAR Nitro Truck title

The 2017 ROAR Fuel Offroad Nationals were held at Stateline RC Raceway last weekend. Rainy weather made things unpleasant at times but the track owners went above and beyond to make sure everyone had everything they needed and more, and got the track ready to run again after the rain came. In the Nitro Truck A-main runner-up after the qualifiers, Ty Tessmann (Xray) tried to keep up with leader Ryan Maifield (Mugen) right from the beginning and he waited for an opportunity to pass. Both battled back and forth during the beginning of the race but eventually Maifield made a bigger mistake which allowed Tessmann to get out in front and form a gap between them. Ty didn’t push too hard but just tried to maintain the gap and finish the race in 1st place which he was able to do, giving him his 4th national Truggy title. Behind Tessmann, Ryan Maifield and Tekno RC’s Ryan Lutz would round out the podium result.
