Ishioka & Knapp sweep 2018 Snowbird

Last weekend’s 2018 Snowbird Nationals saw 600 entries spread across many electric on-road classes and in the hotly contested Formula category it was Japan’s Hayato Ishioka (CRC). However, CRC teammates Andrew Knapp and Jeff Dayger were hot on his heels but after the 5-minute single A-main it was still Hayato who would hold the upper hand with Andrew ending the race only 0.3 seconds short of the Japanese ace. In third and only a tenth of a second short of Andrew, Michael Hanulec would end the race on the 3 spot. Over in 1/12th 17.5T it was Andrew Knapp who TQ’d all four qualifiers and went on to win the main. Robbie Dodge would come in 2nd, 0.8 seconds down on Andrew while Joe Trandell snatched the final podium spot.
