Renaud Savoya wins C-Netic Challenge

Factory Xray/RB/Sweep driver Renaud Savoya made the second stop on his Asian Tour, hitting up the C-Netic Challenge race in Indonesia, getting in some last minute international running prior to the World Championships in 6 weeks time. Reno filed the following report. “Asian tour round 2. This time I flew to Surabaya, Indonesia for C-Netic challenge. From what I saw last year, the track seemed to be one of the most selective in the World. That came true as the layout was fully 3D, with 9 meters elevation on the back section. The club put a serious work together to get this done. Asian racing is probably one of the best place to race RC in the world as they have crazy layouts, professional marshals, awesome pit area etc.

Pro-Line BullDog body for B44.2 buggy

Pro-Line have released this BullDog body for the Team Associated B44.2 buggy. The new B44.2 features a longer and narrower chassis, which requires an all new body. Ryan Cavalieri is coming off an incredible season winning the 2012 ROAR National Championships in both 4wd and 2wd buggy running Pro-Line’s highly coveted line of BullDog Bodies. Ryan has improved upon the design and developed the most advanced body yet, the 2012 BullDog body. Ryan took great care in refining the design for 2012 to create even more stability with enhanced steering to gain an advantage on the track. The windshield is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve stable air flow over the body. The fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency.

JConcepts Scalpel speed-run body

JConcepts introduces the Scalpel speed-run body and front bumper conversion to convert the Slash 4×4 into an insane speed-run machine. Looking straight into the headlights you can tell right away something is different about the Scalpel. A menacing look from the front-end highlighted by a dramatic chin-spoiler, the front-end is built for speed and direction. Large fenders allow plenty of clearance for the 2.8” G-Locs tires and the extremely low roof-line cuts like a knife. A shallow bed area gives the Scalpel a truck-like appearance while maintaining that all inclusive speed-line structure. Finishing off the body is clean and smooth with the inclusion of grill, headlight, taillight and miscellaneous logos that make the Scalpel look the part.
