AS Hobby Racing in Italy have released the their 1/8th Zytech Ginetta body. Designed by Pietro Corradini, who has worked in the Ferrari Formula 1 team for 35 years, the body has been tested on the track of Cassino “Lamberto Collari” and Fiorano “Jody Scheckter” with excellent results.

Yokomo/LRP ace Ronald Völker has added a second VRC Pro World Championship title to his impressive racing legacy. After already winning in 2008 he was now victorious in the 2011 VRC Pro worlds held at the Eppelheim track, the very same track where the LRP Touring Car Masters will be held end of March. In the final Ronald was challenged by Martin Wollanka from Austria who managed to stay within 3 tenths of Ronald but a crash in lap 11 put him 2 seconds back and although he was able to make 2 tenth up in the next 5 laps Ronald ‘Mr. Consistent’ Völker cruised home with a 3.5 second gap at the finish line on Wollanka.

LRP have announced that the 15th running of the LRP Touring Car masters will take place from the 30th of March to the 1st of April in Eppelheim, close to Heidelberg, Germany. Open to both modified and open stock classes, as well as the usual round of the LRP-HPI-Challenge, the event attracts big name drivers who will all be looking to prevent the winner of the last two years Ronald Volker from making it 3 in a row. Pro-Line have made the announcement that they have signed current 1/8th offroad World Champion Cody King away from AKA. Shanghai’s premier indoor racing track RCI held its grand opening off-road race this past weekend in Shanghai. Over 50 drivers from all parts of China participated including China’s top off-road drivers. Team C sent a big team for the 2WD buggy, 4WD buggy and 2WD short course class. The new off-road track is adjacent to the on-road track which has facilities such as lobby lounge, pro-shop, pit area and vip rooms. Young talented on-road driver JJ Wang surprised the field by taking TQ and winning both the 2WD and 4WD class with Team C’s T2 long chassis version 2WD and T4 factory team kit 4WD. Team C would like to congratulate JJ on his very first EP off-road race and win.

Bullitt engines have announced that long time top level racer Graham Alsop has joined their international team. Graham has been racing at the top level for years and after many with his previous engine sponsor, has decided that he needed a new power plant for 2012. After completing many hours of private testing, Graham was convinced the Bullitt B-218 was the engine him to take him forward.
