Team Associated RB10 Retro Kit

Another week, another new 1:10 2WD Buggy kit from Team Associated with the US manufacturer’s latest addition the RB10 Retro Kit. The RB10 Retro Kit blends classic offroad buggy styling with proven B5 engineering for a true old-school look backed by modern durability and adjustability. Featuring a rear-motor layout, the RB10 delivers familiar handling characteristics with updated materials and race-ready components. At its core is a Retro Blue anodised aluminium B5 tub chassis, paired with a matching Retro Blue aluminium front nose plate and exclusive grey molded plastics throughout for an unmistakable vintage appearance. An authentic retro Viper body and high-downforce 5.5” retro wing complete the classic silhouette, while 12mm hex dish wheels and high-grip off-road tires ensure confident performance on today’s tracks. Under the body, the RB10 is all business. Blue anodised 12mm big bore coil-over shocks, a B5 rear-motor Stealth transmission, rear CVA driveshafts, and a 2.6:1 sealed gear differential provide smooth, reliable power delivery. With an adjustable V2 slipper system drivers have the full the tuning range they expect from a modern Team Associated platform.

RC-Project MBX8-R Steering Hub Weight Kit

Italian option parts brand RC-Project has released this new Steering Hub Weight Kit for the Mugen Seiki MBX8-R 1:8 Buggy. Their latest kit is designed to give you maximum flexibility in weight distribution, helping you fine-tune your buggy based on track conditions and driving style. With two mounting positions available, front, rear, or both, the kit comes with 5 gram weights with 7.5 gram options also available. The kit includes 2 x aluminium bases (L/R), 2 x aluminium mounting brackets (L/R), 2 x 5gram weights and 12 x hex screws. Since the bases are M3 threaded, proper installation requires drilling the hub with a Ø3/Ø3.2 mm drill bit to allow the M3x16 screws to pass through.

T-Works RC10 Model 24 Classic Carbon Shock Towers

Leading aftermarket parts producer T-Works has released these Carbon Front & Rear Shock Towers for the 1:24 Team Associated RC10 Model 24 Classic. The scaled down kit of the re-released 1:10 2WD Buggy was announced last month, with the 1.5mm Carbon Fibre towers from T-Works direct replacements for the kit standard white coloured fibreglass shock towers.

Ming Yang MY3 1:8 Nitro Buggy

Taiwanese manufacturer Ming Yang has announced the upcoming release of its newest 1:8 Nitro Buggy Kit, the MY3. The 2023 FEMCA Championship winning manufacturer with team driver Jeff Wang, has released two CAD images of their latest buggy which is due for release in April. While giving no details of the new kit or improvements over the previous MY2, they did confirm an electric version of the MY3 is set to follow later. Wang used an example of the MY3 to claim a podium at the SIGP in Xiamen, China, over the weekend, the race won by Japan’s Kouki Kato.

Associated 13mm Green Front & Black Rear Springs

Team Associated has introduced two new soft spring options to its 13mm shock spring line-up. Intended for the RC10 platform, the front lineup now includes a Green spring option, while the rear lineup now has a Black spring option. Giving racers a greater range of adjustability for various conditions the 13mm Front Green Spring is rated 3.1 lb/in, L44, 7.5T, 1.2D, while the Black Rear is rated 1.7 lb/in, L61, 12.5T, 1.2D.

Xray XB8, XT8, GTX Heat Resistant Alu Diff Pin & Inserts

New from Xray are these Heat Resistant Alu Diff Pin & Inserts intended for use on their XB8, XT8, GTX platforms. The high-strength lightweight aluminium differential pin and insert set is designed for 2-gear differential configurations. This setup delivers a smoother, more stable, and easier driving feel on high-traction tracks. The no flat spot pin design enhances durability when running only two gears, while the heat-resistant inserts maintain consistent performance under load and elevated temperatures. One set covers both front and rear differentials (includes 2 pins + 4 inserts).

Moto-Obscura Vintage Losi Reproduction Springs

Vintage racing accessories brand Moto-Obscura has released two reproduction spring rates for vintage Losi vehicles. The Blue front springs have a free length of 2” and a spring rate of 3.8lb/in and are a direct replacement for LOSA5134. The Pink rear springs have a free length of 2.5” and a spring rate of 2.3lb/in and are a direct replacement for LOSA5150. They also have “Kinwald” sets available that come with blue front springs and pink rear springs, but both front and rear are powder coated blue just like how they came on Kinwald Edition XX vehicles. Moto-Obscura are working on further spring rate options.

RC-Project Sworkz & Mugen Seiki Rear Hub Weights

Italian option parts brand RC-Project has released these Rear Hub Weights for both Sworkz and Mugen Seiki 1:8 Buggy platforms. Available in 5 and 10 grams options and complimenting their steering hub weights, the additional weight added to the hub can be an traction advantage in many cases without affecting the suspension setup. Installation is simple with only two screws, making it easy to adjust different weight settings.
