JConcepts RC10B7.1 | B84 Dragonator body

JConcepts are bringing a little of the 2000 back to 1:10 offroad buggy racing with the Dragonator body shell for the Team Associated’s latest 2WD and 4WD buggies.  Offered for both the RC10B7.1 and the RC10B84, the new body is heavily inspired by the early 2000’s dynamo.  The 1:10th buggy class is ruled primary by JConcepts performance bodies such as the S2, F2, P2, and S15 and for the new season of offroad racing Jason Ruona and his Florida company has got a bit more creative and sculpted and notched up to another level with this angular beauty stating the ‘Cab forward, cab rearward, the debate lives on, but the Dragonator is something different’.  Starting from another clean slate, the designers threw all existing JConcepts models out the window.  A good portion of the new shell is all cab, the narrow front develops width as it reaches the rear, up to a specialty fin where it picks up stability.  The long swooping side windows provide an aggressive stance that all converges to the front like an arrow. Plenty of room for window borders, painters, and hobbyists can have a blast detailing, painting, and adding their signature scheme to this new bullet.  The power pods are raised in advanced territory directing and channeling flow over the centre of the chassis and through to the rear.  The heavy inner edge of the power pods is a hard stop but ultimately the defining concept of the new item.  The decreasing radius portion of the back of the cab is unique, created to ride low-profile on the track surface and equalize the front to rear bias of the all-cab concept.  Stepped rear “doghouse” serves as the termination point of the windows and positions it just before the rear tower.

JConcepts RC10 4WD Alu Steering Bellcrank

New from Florida’s JConcepts comes this Aluminium Steering Bellcrank for the Team Associated RC10 4WD Buggy and Truck.  One of the best hop-ups that can be made to the RC10 and RC10T 4WD is to update the steering bellcranks with a more durable design.  JConcepts has evaluated the options and built an all-aluminium design bringing the driving bell-crank into a one-piece design eliminating the servo saver, increasing steering response and feel.  The idler bell-crank sports a beefy and similar design giving the vehicle a symmetrical feel. The parts are available in blue or black anodising and feature silver chamfered edged highlighting and laser-etched JC logo for brand authenticity.  Available in JConcepts signature blue or black finishes, the bellcranks are bearing supported with heavy-duty flanged bearings and include threaded aluminium steering posts with etched JC logo for an ultra-snug fit and finish.  JConcepts has also went the extra mile and included 8/32 x 5/16” FHCS screws in titanium which thread into the bottom of the chassis and ultimately the steering posts for a complete design. Keep in mind the RC10 and RC10T 4WD uses 3mm x 5.5 ball-studs in each area of the steering assembly except for the high post to connect the steering servo tie-rod which uses a 4-40 ball-end.

Schumacher Cougar LD3 Worlds Option Parts

Schumacher has released two new optional parts for its Cougar LD3 which last October team driver Broc Champlin used to take the buggy to the IFMAR 1:10 2WD World Championship title in Australia.  First of the new options is the Worlds Alloy Lower Plate that offers the ability to lower the centre of gravity of the front end by moving the servo down into a flat (horizontal) position, as well as further back.  This results in more stability through the corners and calms down the steering aggression.  Also offering increased stiffness, it can only be used with the flat (horizontal) servo position, and the new Worlds centre track rod.  The Worlds centre track rod features optional steering geometry to adjust the aggression of the steering through the corner.  This new inner hole position will help more with mid to exit steering.

A wing that they originally released last October in a black version, Hudy is now offering their Strike 1:8 offroad wing in a range colours.  Adding white, orange, yellow, and green colours, this competition-level wing is engineered for maximum stability, durability, and performance. Its modern, ultra-low profile design with large side dams improves cornering control and overall stability. Reinforced with distinctive fang-shaped brackets, the wing combines strength with minimum weight. Pre-marked cutting holes allow quick and easy downforce adjustments for any track condition. Fully IFMAR-legal and compatible with all popular 1:8 buggies and truggies.
