Schumacher Mi4 & Cougar SV Speed Secret options

Schumacher have released their latest Speed Secret options for both the Mi4 and the Cougar SV. This new long top deck conversion set for the Mi4CX gives optimised longitudinal flex geometry to improve traction levels and decrease lap times. Developed by the Schumacher Race Team including Multiple British Champion Chris Grainger and used by Matt White to win the final BRCA National at Mendip. For the Cougar SV these cool alloy Zero Trail axles give the car more consistent steering throughout the turn and a more aggressive steering feel compared to trailing axles. Straight line stability may be slightly reduced.

JConcepts 1/8th truck Hybrids

A combination of years of development with JConcepts drivers, the Hybrids are all the rage and the combination of the most popular JConcepts tires available. A mid-lug design with unique inner Crowbar center lug DNA, the Hybrid is built for speed and ultimate high-speed control and handling. Supported lug control and X-braced sidewall lug detail is designed to go the distance in long qualifiers, final main events and beyond. Adapted for the 1/8th truck class featuring the Elevated Bead design the lightweight continuous tire body design minimizes rotating mass which makes the 1/8th truck Hybrid a dynamite performer straight out of the package. Extensive testing showed a smaller pin height advantageous in many conditions and particularly when sharp angles and edges arise in the track surface. At the base of the design, the new mid-height lugs present the compound to the racing surface while the center lug DNA picks up the heavy lifting for forward-bite. Available in Soft (Blue) and Super Soft (Green) compounds.

Team C T8TE brushless truggy

Team C have released pictures of their new brushless truggy, the T8TE. Its twin battery pack design chassis sees a pack mounted to the rear of the chassis and to each side of the centre driveshaft giving excellent balance. Other features include a 3mm T6 7075 chassis, 5mm front & rear shock towers, CVD shaft system and high downforce rear wing and cab forward body. Expect an early November release.

Sweep Micro Contacts tires

Sweep have introduced their lucky seventh 8th scale off-road tire called, Micro Contacts. This tire was designed to be a bulletproof micro pin style tire delivering a rocket round run in qualifying and still able to last the whole A-main. Featuring a very stable micro pin pattern to sweep the ground with today’s hottest 21 engines. As the name suggests, all of their test drivers commented on how they feel like their car has micro suction cups sticking to the ground. The gluing bead and sidewalls have been redesigned to deliver a precise steering feel, which has never been experienced in the past. Four different compounds are available to suit a large variety of track conditions. The softest compound silver, blue, red and then the hardest compound white. These tires are designed specifically for their own grooved inserts or Cloud 9 closed cell foam inserts.

S-Workz S350 BK1 springs & wheel nuts

S-Workz have released some new option parts for their S350 BK1 including springs and wheel nuts. The new option springs in blue and gold will provide your BK1 much softer suspension response. The new pro wheel nuts, sold in a set of 4, are CNC machined from aluminium with a cover to protect your wheel hub during a crash.

JConcepts shock stand

Seen at last weekend’s Short Course Showdown, JConcepts adds to its extensive accessory line with the addition of a user friendly shock stand. During shock rebuilds racers are always searching for that perfect shock stand which is light-weight, durable and easy to set-up and tear-down on any given race day. The JConcepts shock stand has 2 different heights which accommodate both 1/10th and 1/8th length and diameter shocks as well as center-punched dimples which help locate center. The design is also centered around a placement area which a standard soda can or water bottle can be used as a dump location for used fluids. For the extra efficient racer, the shock stand will also stack inside the JConcepts Vehicle Stand to maximize space and for packing considerations. As a bonus the shock stand can be used as a serviceable stand for an iPad or cased iPhone for a neat and clean pit area or general use around the home or office.

Durango DEX210 teaser video

Durango have released this teaser video for their new DEX210 1/10th scale 2wd buggy that will be released soon. It shows a lot of extra information on the new car with a focus on the many setup adjustments that can be made to this car.
