1:10 offroad specialist manufacturer Willspeed has extended its range of 12mm springs with the addition of two harder front options, green (4.7lbs) and blue (4.9lbs). The comprehensive spring range covers all demands and requirements faced within 1/10th buggy racing with the springs manufactured from tempered high carbon steel with a zinc coating for guaranteed style and longevity. With the extension of the range Willspeed has also updated their spring chart.
PR Racing has officially announced details of its upcoming 2023 SB401R 1:10 4WD Buggy kit release. Six new parts are being introduced to the buggy to improve performance over its predecessor. PR Racing state the most notably improvement will come from the super smooth coated V4 shock bodies and new pistons. Other new items include steering turnbuckles and rod ends and new 2mm front and rear top decks. The new kit will be released in early March 2023.

New from Reedy is the Zappers SG5 HV-LiPo LP shorty battery. It features a new hard case design and state-of-the-art LiPo chemistry with advancements in cell manufacturing and battery construction that result in higher capacity and power output, lower internal resistance, and improved durability. Zappers SG5 HV-LiPo batteries feature a 3.8V/cell nominal voltage, which means that the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V/cell. It is well known that more voltage equals more power so there is no easier way to increase power and top speed than a higher charge voltage! Even when the typical 8.40-8.44V (4.2-4.22V/cell) charging limit is enforced, Zappers SG5 batteries shine thanks to their inherently flat discharge curve which results in higher voltage deeper into the race. Maybe not offering the same level of excitement as the past when all the RC brands revealed their new cars, the Nuremburg Toy Fair opened today with Tamiya providing the most interesting new releases so far. First up is the all new BBX. Tamiya’s designers have taken inspiration from its back catalog of iconic 2WD off-road buggies to bring fans of radio control the new buggy. The 1:10 2WD off-road buggy model features a combination of classic design and modern performance. Its brand-new chassis, reminiscent of 1980’s sand rail dune buggies, is a hybrid monocoque-roll cage and employs rear trailing arm suspension inspired by full-size UTV’s. The new body is designed by famed Japanese artist Atsushi Arino and utilises a classic 1980’s inspired livery with retro wheels and tires to match.
Donathen RC has introduced a new range of replacement radio wheels. In true DRC fashion these are customised and made to order. They available in 10 colours (White, Purple Red, Blue, Grey, Orange, Black, Green, Yellow and Pink), 10 designs, and in 3 diameters (stock diameter, a medium size, and a large size). These are also more durable than the stock plastic radio wheel. They are a direct replacement for your stock radio wheel, and utilise the stock radio foam from your current wheel. Currently only available for the Sanwa m17, Mt44, and m12. Futaba, Ko, and Spektrum wheels will be available at a later date.
