JConcepts S15 B6.4 & B74.2 bodies

Debuting at the recent 1:10 Offroad World Championships in Arizona, JConcepts has officially released its S15 body for both the Team Associated B6.4 2WD & B74.2 4WD buggies. Designed, built, and produced in the 11^th hour, the new S15 body is available for both the standard and Dirt versions of both chassis. With successful designs coming from the Punisher, Finnisher, and Silencer line, the JConcepts crew made the decision, it was time for the S15. Incorporating lessons from the lineage, the team concentrated on the single cock-pit placement, deflection angles, hard edged (JConcepts chamfering), and side pod winglets. The single side window design is a departure from the usual JC team body shells but drops in nicely on the S15. Driving the S15, it performs like a champion, albeit slightly different than its predecessors, the delicate nature of the shell allows the driver to flow, drive smoothly, and radius difficult corners without over aggression.

Schumacher Cougar LD3 2WD 1:10 Buggy

Schumacher has released its latest 1:10 2WD Competition buggy, the Cougar LD3. The LD3 improves and refines the British manufacturer’s 2WD racing buggy and has already achieved numerous national and international race wins including a IFMAR World Championship Podium. The LD3 is more durable, user friendly, lighter and even faster. With 3 different chassis specifications available it will excel on all track surfaces and in all conditions. The LD3M is optimised for medium to high grip astro and carpet tracks, with the more forward motor position ‘Laydown’ transmission. The LD3D features a ‘Layback’ transmission which moves the motor 6mm more rearward, it works best on low grip dirt and wet astro tracks. The LD3S features the ‘Laydown’ transmission and lightweight parts for lower powered stock class racing.

Hard coated for long life, you will no longer have to insert a screwdriver into the Shock Cap to close it because with the new Multi-Tool you simply insert the Shock Cap into the Muti-Tool and close without the risk of damage the Shock Cap and Bushing. The versatile RC-Project Multi-Tool has 3 key useful functions: Flywheel Holder for 2,3 and 4 pin, Tool for 17mm Wheel Nuts and Open/Close Shock Cup Tool. It will work with Agama, AE, Kyosho, Sworkz, HB, Mugen Seiki, Mayako, Tekno, WIRC and Xray.

RC-Project Buggy Clutch Spring Tool

Italy’s RC-Project has released a new Buggy Clutch Spring Tool to simplify the assembly/disassembly of buggy clutches. The main body is produced in Ergal 7075-T6 and then hard anodised while the central part that will be in contact with the springs instead is produced in steel and then is subjected to a heat treatment to increase the surface hardness. Just insert the Buggy Clutch Spring Tool in the crankshaft, turn counterclockwise until you hook the spring and push until the shoe and spring will go into position, to disassemble repeat the same process but instead of pushing you’ll have to pull. It is suitable for all nitro engines from .12 to .30.

Sanwa RX-49T FH5 receiver

Coming new from Sanwa next month is the release of the RX-49T receiver which is a budget friendly version of the Japanese company’s RX-493i FH5 model. The waterproof unit is compatible with the M17, MT-5, and MT-R and has Ultra Response Mode (SUR) and Extreme Response Mode (SXR). Using ‘Plug in Bind, the smallest and lightest 2.4 GHz FHSS5 Spread Spectrum System 4ch receiver in the class is compatible with Telemetry however without RPM sensor and Temperature sensor connectivity. Measuring RPM and temperature is only possible when combined with SUPER VORTEX series while Indicator function with MT-5 is also not compatible. Due to go on sale in Japan in October it should reach the rest of the world by January 2024.

Schumacher Fusion Slim 1:10 2WD front tyre

New from Schumacher is the Fusion Slim 2WD front tyre that it has developed from the popular Low Profile Cut Stagger. The new tyre adds centre spikes for more steering and longer life, but maintains the Stagger edges and undercut sidewall. Therefore allowing any extra steering to be controllable and not too aggressive. It is most suitable for high grip tracks, such as carpet or astro, and can knock tenths off your 2WD buggy lap times. Schumacher recommend that it is used with the U6667 slim hard foam insert and if you have been using LP Cut Staggers then your buggy may require some setup changes for more rear traction, to balance the increased grip from the front tyres.
