Procircuit ‘Stinger’ | ‘Grasshopper’ 1:8 Buggy Astro Tyres

Spain’s Modelix Racing has introduced under its Procircuit tyre brand two new 1:8 Buggy patterns intended for high grip astro tracks, the Stinger and the Grasshopper.  Featuring a completely redesigned V4 carcass, they are developed to maximise performance on astro surfaces.  With a reinforced sidewall for increased lateral stability, they also have a lower profile to reduce sidewall flex and sliding.  A Smaller diameter, contributes to more precise and predictable steering.  Available pre-glued or unglued, they are exclusively offering in the A2 compound (Gold Dot).  The Stinger pattern is designed with a high-density layout of long, spaced centre pins, and angled side blocks.  This configuration provides direct forward traction, reduces lateral grip at high speeds, and improves cornering.  Ideal for the front axle or for setups seeking easy, forgiving handling.  The Grasshopper features a uniform distribution of long pins across the entire surface, offering maximum lateral grip and strong traction.  Recommended for the rear axle or setups prioritising overall grip and sharp steering response.

Sworkz S12-3 Prototype 2WD Buggy Images

With a number of manufacturers running prototype buggies at the recent EFRA 1:10 Offroad European Championships, Sworkz has published images of their prototype 2WD buggy which was raced in the title decider by Joern Neumann.  The former champion would qualify the buggy P5 at the Hudy Arena but ended up 10th after some rough finals.  Team-mate Micha Widmaier also ran the car but just missed the Main event ending up as the BQ!  While Sworkz don’t go into any specific details about what’s new on the buggy they stated, ‘The S12-3 prototype already showed his speed and potential, even if it is still a prototype.  Final adjustments will be done and production is about to start. We are looking forward to share production details with you soon and release the car for the indoor season this autumn – stay tuned.’

EBRC S35 Front Hub Weight System

New from EBRC, the brand of newly crowned 9-time British 1:8 Nitro Buggy National Champion Elliott Boots, comes this Front Hub Weight System for the Sworkz S35 1:8 Buggy platform.  Engineered to optimise steering response during acceleration phases that occur while decelerating, the system includes a carbon fibre plate that securely holds the steering hubs in position, enhancing overall stability and steering precision.  Anodised Brass Weights, 2 x 5gram and 2 x 10gram, allow fine-tuning of the front-end weight distribution based on driving needs.  The modular weight system improves steering sensitivity during deceleration-induced acceleration, providing better control and responsiveness.  Also new from EBRC for the S35 are Hard Coated 7075-T6 Aluminium Front & Rear Shock Standoffs which feature enhanced surface hardness for superior wear and corrosion resistance.  They provide the structural integrity required to support the shock absorbers while maintaining a lightweight profile to optimise overall performance.  The front and rear shock standoff set ensures precise alignment and coordination between the suspension systems, resulting in improved handling, stability, and overall performance of the buggy.
