Following the introduction of its RS-940 Front Bumper for Mugen Seiki and Team Associated 1:8 Buggies, VP-Pro has expanded the range to offer to cover more manufacturers. Now they are producing the bumper to fit the Tekno NB48 2.2, Xray XB8, the new Hong Nor X5B, the HB819 and the Agama N1. Made from high-quality material for durability, the bumper is specially designed to protect your buggies front end and chassis in the event of knocks and crashes, and minimise contact with the track on jump landings. It is shipped with 2 pieces per bag.
New from aftermarket parts & accessories producer T-Works are these +1.5mm Carbon Fibre rear hub links for the Mugen Seiki MBX8R 1:8 Buggy. Machined from quality carbon fibre, the links feature a wider range of mounting options than the original kit links. With two rows of mounting holes that are 1.5 mm up or down from the original hole locations this allows for greater fine tuning of the buggy’s rear roll centre set-up.
Better known for their high end onroad competition cars, Serpent has released this ‘fun’ 1:24 Mini Spider SC RTR. Made of super elastic plastic, the 2WD chassis is powered by a coreless motor that takes the Short Course truck up to 20km/h. If this is too fast for you in the living room or children’s room, you can also reduce the speed thanks to a rotary control nub. Throttle/brake and steering commands are sensitively implemented in full proportion by the 2.4GHz remote control. The Mini Spider SC has built-in ‘Electronic Stability Program’ (ESP) which keeps the rear-drive vehicle always well on track even on smooth surfaces such as laminate or tiled floors. Thanks to a built-in ‘gyro’, the truck detects unnatural movements of the rear and steers automatically against it to prevent a breakaway (to a certain extent).
Italian manufacturer WIRC Racing has officially unveiled their new 1:8 Competition Buggy contender the SBX4. Having just added Fabrizio Teghesi to its team driver line-up, the new buggy they will race features a new rear suspension system and reinforced front hubs. The upgraded front bumper and stone guards provide maximum protection from impacts and debris, while the refined chassis layout enhances rigidity and weight distribution. Additionally, the rear wing stay and anti-roll bar mount have been improved to ensure optimal downforce and precise cornering.
Italian after market parts producer 7075.it has released a new conversion kit for the Mugen Seiki MBX8 R ECO 1:8 Buggy. The 7075 SPC Kit is based on a completely redesigned alu chassis with hard black anodising. The design gives better weight balance and rotates the motor 180° and moves it more forward wit the saddle-pack batteries moved to the rear. A new type of central transmission is perfectly aligned with the central differential which is moved to the centre of the chassis for greater efficiency of rotating parts and improved smoothness. There is a new battery trays for 2S shorty batteries with two mounting positions on the chassis: one forward for more aggressive cornering, and one rearward for greater stability. A new receiver/ESC/servo mounting plate made from a single 3D-printed plastic piece for weight balance and easy maintenance. The new 3mm thick servo saver brace is machined from a solid 6mm block. The design allows mounting on both the 7075 SPC kit and the original kit by simply moving the front reinforcement brace anchor point.
Having released their all new 22X 1:10 2WD Race Buggy last month, Team Losi Racing has now announced their new Stadium Truck based on the same platform. Key improvements include a hard-anodized 2mm 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that’s lengthened and optimized for today’s higher grip tracks, plus adjustable body mounts and all-new front and rear arms. The buggy-length shocks and lower towers produce a lower CG, while larger, 13mm big-bore shocks with 13mm springs contribute to plush landings and quick cornering. Two front caster block and spindle options let you tune the steering feel with options for wide or narrow king pin locations available. The 22X-T also has a new laydown gearbox that offers easy access to the proven ball differential. You’ll be able to maintain the differential and idler gear quickly without disassembling the entire gear box – a big advantage given that the suspension uses the gearbox for all of its mounting positions. TLR includes many option items with the 22X-T to offer the maximum amount of tunability. It also has many parts in common with the 22X DC and 22X AC Race Buggy Kits for easy parts sharing.
Six years on from bringing the B74 platform to the 1:10 4WD Offroad competition market, Team Associated has announced the reigning World Champion chassis’ successor, the B84. The latest kit from the iconic American manufacturer features Molded Height-Adjustable Gearboxes Front and Rear with Additional +2 Rear Gearbox for High-Grip Conditions. The all new buggy also has Long-Arm Suspension Geometry for improved grip and predictability in all conditions. An optimized Steering Bellcranks and Rack improves bumpsteer control at all ride heights. Chassis Bracing allows fine tune chassis flex characteristics with upper and lower chassis bracing front and rear. The kit comes with Standard and HRC (High Roll Center) Rear Hubs with insert adjustable caster block with 0, +/-1, and +/-2 degree inserts. Forward and Back Motor Positions are used for further weight bias adjustment with a Highly Adjustable Battery Holder with Thumb Tabs giving more fine tuning of weight bias. A 2.5mm Thick Tapered 7075-T6 Aluminium Chassis has 10 Degrees of Kickup and Improved Departure Angle. Other elements of the new kit include a Decoupled Slipper Clutch, Aluminium Center-Mounted Servo Mount, Low-Profile Body, Shock Tower Covers Front and Rear, 3.5mm Turnbuckles and Ballcups and 13mm Big-Bore Shocks. The kit is also available as a RC10 B84D kit intended specifically for Dirt track racing.
