JConcepts Strike 3 RC8B3 buggy bodyshell

JConcepts have introduced the Strike 3 bodyshell for the Team Associated RC8B3 buggy. Sampling elements from the Finnisher, Silencer and Striker bodies it packs a slightly refined image. The base enhancements to the design come from the parallel to chassis side-pods, that look traditional with 1/8th buggies of the past. A large rear-end winglet has been added to aid in the rear traction stability as well as stopping force. The offset of the race-proven shell provides a compact fit for the fuel tank, linkage and air filter assembly and the heavy channelling on the front windshield keeps the Strike 3 aligned at high speeds while the sidepods have multiple hard-edge angles that spill off neatly into 90 degree side panels. Just behind the engine head, a sleek up-rising flows from the body like running water and a sharp rise in the rear wicker blocks flow to the rear tower and redirects to the rear wing area. The clear body set includes window templates and a decal sheet.

Team Magic E5-series aluminium steering blocks

HRC Distribution have introduced Team Magic aluminium steering blocks and pivot ball mounts for the E5 and E5HX monster trucks. The parts are machined from 7075 aluminium and available in black or gun metal anodising. The steering blocks are usable on the front and the rear of the truck and their design and material makes for improved durability and impact protection during hard bashing sessions. Made as a complement to the steering blocks are the aluminium pivot ball mounts. A direct fit with the above steering spindles, the parts add durability and visual impact. The steering blocks some in sets of two while the pivot ball mounts are available as 4-piece sets including mounting hardware.

JConcepts release new B6 & B64-series option parts

Coming from JConcepts are several new option parts for the B6 and B64 series of off-road buggies. First up are short and long Fin-series titanium shock stand-offs. Designed to replace the standard parts and featuring a lightweight design with built-in threads for easier shock angle adjustments, the 7mm hex based design allows adjustment with the most popular wrench in the R/C arsenal but also tapers down featuring the Fin treatment found on the JConcepts turnbuckles. The stand-offs are available in short and long variants for the front and rear of the B6 and B64 buggies and each 2-piece set includes two 3x8mm BHCS to secure the stand-offs to the shock tower. The standard 3mm locknut is used to finalise the assembly and secure the shock into position. The Delrin shock stand-off bushings are also available separately as a 4-piece set.

Team Azarashi Magna 1/10th buggy rear wing

Team Azarashi have introduced their new Magna 1/10th buggy rear wing. Designed for high-speed tracks the wing is of a unique shape that allows the wing to sit closer to the rear axle than most wings while the added ribs on the main element improve aerodynamic drag and durability without sacrificing downforce. The wing fits most of today’s 2WD and 4WD buggies and it is made of high-quality polycarbonate.

LRP ZR.28 Spec.4 Pullstart nitro off-road engine

LRP’s ZR.28 Spec.4 Pullstart nitro off-road engine is the company’s latest off-road big bore power plant. The 4.57cc engine features several improvements and refinements such as the CoolDownMax engine cooling head for optimised heat dissipation even in heavy duty bashing applications, it comes with the XTEC PowerCarb 3 15S-2 carburettor for easier and more reliable mixture adjustments and the 5+1 port engine is brought to life using a heavy duty pullstart assembly. On top of this the .28 engine offers increased torque and improved response, making it ideal for light buggies and heavy trucks alike.

Tekno RC Blok 21aM & 21aP nitro buggy engines

Tekno RC have introduced their all-new Block nitro off-road engines. The BLOK 21aM was designed with optimal fuel mileage in mind for 1/8th buggies, while the 21aP is all about power and is well suited for any 1/8th application but especially the heavier truggies. Both engines are made in Japan and they feature the same long stroke piston and sleeve design, DLC coated crankshaft, three needle carburettor and efficient cooling head with the 21aM including 6mm and 6.5mm venturis while the 21aP comes with 6.5mm and 7.0mm carburettor inserts. Pre-release engines without manual and box are available now, and the properly packaged power plants including box, manual and stickers will become available around mid-March.

TLR 8ight alloy bellcranks & spindle carriers

Coming soon from Team Losi Racing and made for the 8ight series of off-road kits are an aluminium steering bellcrank set as well as two front spindle carrier sets. Starting with the bellcranks, the parts were designed for the use with all 8ight series kits and they offer improved rigidity and durability which results in increased steering response especially on high-bite surfaces. The parts are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come hard anodised for wear and include a pair of pivot balls.

3DRC RC10 5+5 front A-arm set

German brand 3DRC have introduced their new 5+5 front A-arms for the Team Associated RC10. Designed to offer a 10mm of additional track width and a 5mm longer wheelbase the arms also optimise the shock and suspension geometry. The parts are available in white and black colour through 3DRC’s Shapeways store now.
