Modify have introduced their new bullet-type 4mm and 5mm connectors. They are of a low-profile design to prevent interferences with low top decks and come pre-shaped for easy and reliable soldering. The heavy-duty four contact points design makes for improved power transfer compared to standard connectors and at 14mm length they are compatible with most tube-style battery packs.

Coming from T-Works and made for Team Associated’s RC8B3 buggies are spring steel shock standoffs. Machined from high-quality material and coming with a special surface treatment for wear the 1-piece parts offer high durability and their design allows for easy shock angle adjustments by holding the standoffs with a suitable wrench and undoing the rear fastening nuts. Included in the set are four shock standoffs and eight flanged nuts.

Coming from Samix is a titanium link set for the new Axial SCX10 II truck. The high-clearance front and rear link set is a direct fit on the SCX10 II with standard ball ends and it is made from high-quality titanium material. All parts are marked for easy identification and holes near the threaded portions allow for convenient assembly of the links and ball ends. Using the links allows for more clearance during rock climbing, they are more durable and add visual impact to the vehicle. Included in the 10-piece set are also front steering links.

These engines are the first of their kind and they allow racers to be able to utilise engines that have been broken in and race ready tuned by 2-times European Champion Elliott Boots. The break-in and final tuning will be made directly on the car using the best quality fuel to ensure performance and reliability with the engines being delivered ready for clutch and exhaust assembly and installation in the car. The break-in process allows to use the engine under race conditions from the get go with no additional run-in procedure necessary. The service is available on the Reds Racing R5T Team Edition and R7 Evoke engines and buyers can also choose to combine the engines in a combo kit with their own exhaust and/or Quattro clutch system that will be broken in as well.

"Leaked" image teases Kyosho Turbo Scorpion re-release

A first “leaked” teaser image of the expected Kyosho Turbo Scorpion re-release buggy has appeared on the internet. Following the re-release of the 1980’s Tomahawk, Scorpion and Beetle kits, the former top-of-the-foodchain Turbo Scorpion would be a sensible next step in the company’s re-release schedule. The somewhat blurry image shows a buggy with brushless motor and what appear to be modern 2.2″ rims and tyres, showing the release might target the growing interest in vintage racing. We bring you more information on the possible release as soon as they become available.

T-Works B6-series hard-coated alloy pivot balls

Coming from T-Works are 7075-T6 aluminium pivot balls for Team Associated’s sixth generation buggies. Machined from aircraft-grade aluminium and coming hard-anodised for wear the 6mm pivot balls scrub a good amount of weight compared to their steel counter parts and they are usable on the lower shock ball cups and also the chassis’ waterfall-to-gearbox connection. The set includes five pivot balls, enough to equip all four shocks and the chassis brace.

JConcepts have introduced their innovative Wash Brush, a brush purpose built to make tyre washing easier. Tyre washing is a common sight in both nitro and electric off-road racing and it’s common to attach a brush to a re-sealable bucket for repeated pit use; however, it’s difficult to attach the brush. The JConcepts product eliminates the hassle by including the properly built RC brush with hardware and O-rings in each package. Sanwa HVS-702 servo & RX-481WP receiver

German Sanwa distributors LRP have introduced the HVS-702 low-profile servo and RX-481WP receiver. Starting with the servo, the high-voltage compatible item offers up to 8.6kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.07s, making it ideal for nitro and electric touring cars as well as 2WD and 4WD buggies. It features a metal geartrain, dual ball bearings and it is SHR mode compatible. Also new is the waterproof RX-481WP 2.4GHz 4-channel receiver. It features an internal antenna for improved durability and easier wiring, it is SSL and FH4/FH3 mode compatible and it weighs in at 10.7g. The receiver is compatible with transmitters including, but not limited to, the M12X, M12, M11X, MT-4S, MT-4 and MT-S.
