Protoform J71 Trans-Am body

Protoform J71 Trans-Am body

After receiving many requests, Protoform has released it’s rendition of the 1971 Trans-Am Championship winning car. The addition of the J71 to the VTA scene will surely add new excitement and drama to an already diverse class of racing. The J71 features all the unique styling cues of the original car as well as a molded in rear spoiler. The front of the car features an add-on nose with air dam. When mounted with shoo goo and 2mm screws it becomes an integral part of the body. Because this area of a race body is the most prone to racing wear and tear, a second nose is supplied with the body. This configuration allows for molding a lightweight, durable .030 lexan body, which in turn aids the handling ability of any VTA chassis.

Smokem Hot Bodies TCX-FX chassis

Smokem Hot Bodies TCX-FX chassis

The Hot Bodies TCX gets the Smokem treatment with the TCX-FX chassis. Firstly they have reduced the width of the chassis by almost 10mm and with an overall width of only 94mm, scrubbing during hard cornering is minimized. The 2.2mm thick chassis has been designed to provide additional flex to deliver more grip and a wider tuning window so you can dial-in your car in over a wide range of temperature and track conditions. Other improvements include 2 additional LiPo support holes, which allow you to install locating nuts to bring the LiPo battery 5mm closer to the centerline of the car. We have also added front and rear balancing holes so you can balance your TCX with balance pins. All this translates to a faster car over a wider range of conditions.

Xray Multi-Diff T3 LiPo

Xray Multi-Diff T3 LiPo

The new version of the Multi-Diff from Xray, called the Multi-Diff T3 LiPo has 3 different settings, standard one-way, solid one-way and solid axle. The lightweight one-way outdrives are manufactured from Hudy Spring Steel and have a hex-slot machined at each end, into which a lightweight machined steel hex-style locking axle can be inserted into both outdrives to lock them together. This allows the creation of a solid one-way, meaning that both outdrives turn freely together as a one-way (at the same time), thus creating a solid one-way off-power. To create a full-time solid axle, a strong steel pin is inserted through aligned holes in the main aluminum body of the Multi-Diff and the steel locking axle. This locks the outdrives completely, creating a full-time solid axle. Includes factory-pressed (non-replaceable) high-quality German one-way bearings, hand-ground for maximum running precision and strength.
