RC Atomic FFZV2 FWD Pro mini-size kit

RC Atomic have introduced their new FFZV2 FWD Pro mini-size chassis kit for 98mm Mini-Z body shells. After the release and success of the first generation FFZ, RC Atomic have refined the design and specification to make the chassis more suitable for high traction conditions such as found on RCP or EVA foam tracks. In addition the car offers very easy driving characteristics, making it more user friendly while performance is only a little bit under a 4WD machine. New to the FFZV2 are redesigned front arms and knuckles for increased stability in longitudinal direction with the rear suspension featuring new arm mounts and the rear UTS upper T-arm system that will increase rear suspension rigidity and side bite. The car is based on a new, wide chassis that is ideal for high-bite tracks while a redesigned ball differential ensures easy building and swift adjustment. The kit is rounded out by new plastic ball cups, new bulkheads and new shock towers and it fits all 98mm wheelbase Kyosho Mini-Z-style body shells.

Yokomo introduce new BD10 & YZ-4SF2 optionals

Available now from Yokomo are new optional parts for the BD10 touring car and the YZ-4SF2 4WD buggy. Starting with the BD10, the rear belt tensioner is a simple yet effective part that attaches to the rear chassis cross brace, touching the belt from underneath in order to prevent it from skipping on the rear differential gear under load. The result is improved belt life especially when running modified motors. The set includes the machined aluminium belt tensioner, a ball race, shims and screws.

RC Maker low-profile front body stabiliser

Coming from RC Maker is their innovative new shock tower attachment that increases the body’s downforce transfer to the car, whilst also preventing bodyshell flex and roll, causing scrubbing in the wheel arches. With modern body shells being low and thin, the downforce generated by the bodyshell isn’t effectively transferred to the car due to the flex of the body, especially in the front-mid section. The front body stabiliser transfers the downforce directly into the top of the front shocks, increasing the car’s steering in corners, and stability on the straights. As well as this, they prevent the body rolling onto the outside tyre in cornering, effectively preventing wheel arch rubbing as the front body stabiliser helps prevent the bodyshell rolling during cornering, by supporting it widely over the wheel arches. The stabilisers are adjustable in height, and can be further adjusted by adding foam on top of the platform. They fit all modern low profile shock touring cars such as the Xray T4’20, Yokomo BD10, Infinity IF14-2, ARC R12, Schumacher Mi7 and more, and are an optimised fit for the latest bodies from Xtreme, ZooRacing, Bittydesign and Protoform.

Tekin G4 Eliminator drag racing brushless motor

Tekin have introduced their all-new G4 Eliminator drag racing electric brushless motor. Utilising oversized ultra torque rotors and the best materials available, Tekin designed the Eliminator to cut weight while reducing resistance, resulting in a purebred drag racing machine. From Pro Mod to Street Eliminator classes, the Eliminator motors create huge power across all RPMs whenever needed. The Gen4 motor line is a completely new ground-up design. The new stator is precision stamped and pressed, increasing efficiency and reducing resistance and the motors are hand-wound with high purity copper wire and machined from 6061-T6 aluminium. Completely tunable with optional rotors and re-buildable, the new Gen4 Eliminator motor is a premium performance power plant for the serious drag racer and it comes in 2.5T, 3.5T, 4.0T, 4.5T, and 5.0T specifications.

Xray T4 ECS BB 52mm & 53mm driveshafts

Coming from Xray and made for their T4 line of touring cars are the new ball-raced ECS BB driveshafts. The construction of the driveshafts offers a significant performance gain over the standard blade-type driveshafts as the friction between the driveshaft and the outdrive is greatly reduced thanks to using ball bearings, which helps to give a much smoother handling feel, especially on fast direction changes, such as chicanes. The reduced friction also helps to increase cornering speeds. The driveshafts are available as 52mm variant for smaller, more technical tracks where more initial steering is needed while the longer 53mm driveshafts are best suited for more open and flowing track layouts. They will provide slightly less initial steering, but better steering in the middle of the corner, as well as on power. The BB driveshafts only work with the front solid axle in combination with the optional #305138 outdrives.

Yankee large scale electric pan car kits – Coming soon

Coming soon from French large scale specialists Yankee are the P420 1/4th scale and P520 1/5th scale electric pan car kits. Both are of a simple and efficient design that utilises construction elements known from 1/10th and 1/12th scale pan cars, however thanks to clever engineering the large scale kits are both lightweight and durable, allowing to run them alongside their gas-powered variants. Both chassis offer up to three different wheelbase settings, they utilise a 3-point pod-type rear suspension, a lightweight front suspension and the P420 also allows to use a dual servo steering setup. Other features include module 1.25 and 1.5 gearboxes, aluminium front hubs, and a motor mount that allows to use a range of large-scale-compatible electric brushless motors. The kits will become available as rolling chassis or as combo packages including a body shell.
