Sweep Racing V4 formula tyres

Sweep Racing have introduced their all-new V4 tyres for 1/10th formula cars. Available as full slick or grooved pattern variant, the full slick is best used on high grip tracks were it allows for smooth cornering and provides an overall easier driving feel while being also usable on damp asphalt surfaces. The grooved tyres however are meant to excel in low grip asphalt conditions as well as on standing water or very wet tracks but also in dusty and greasy conditions. The tyres are available in both carpet and asphalt compounds on black colour wheels and they fit most of today’s formula pan cars.

Tamiya TRF103 1/10th formula kit

Tamiya have released first written information and an additional image of their forthcoming TRF103 1/10th scale formula kit that is on show during this week’s Nuremberg International Toyfair in Germany. The high-specification formula chassis is built around carbon fibre lower and upper decks, with front lower and upper arms also crafted from carbon fibre plate. Front camber and caster angles can be altered via the upper arm attachment components. At the rear of the car, there is a choice of 2 suspension types: a link setup for high-grip surfaces; and a T-bar setup for lower grip conditions. Chassis roll is regulated by individual left and right friction dampers, while changing the carbon fiber rear shaft position allows two different wheelbases. The kit is set for a release mid-May.

Shepherd Velox V10 2018 WC upgrade kit

Shepherd have introduced the 2018 WC upgrade kit for the Velox V10 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car. The set includes all needed parts to bring the 2017 kit to 2018 WC specification, such as lighter vented brake discs for lower operation temperatures and less fading during a run. Also included are redesigned front upper wishbone mounts that eliminate any dynamic camber when the wishbone is mounted in the upper position, increasing cornering speed in difficult track conditions. The front upper wishbone mount will now also form a solid unit with the radio plate due to its redesign, while now leaving more room for the front differential and anti-roll bar. Other parts include a new rear anti-roll bar, updated rear lower wishbones and a new carbon fibre radio plate, the latter makes for easier handling in high grip conditions while also improving traction in low grip conditions. The set is rounded out by a newly developed, lighter one-way, additional body support O-rings prevent the body support from falling off and hard-coated aluminium diff-pins further reduce the rotating mass. The update kit is available for the standard blue and optional black edition.
