Hot Bodies and the Jimmy Babcock Racing League have announced the chance to win a 1 year Sponsorship on the same team with Travis Amezcua and Atsushi Hara. Chen Wuzhong wins Guangzhou National

Chinese National race

This weekend saw the latest Chinese National race run at the new off road track, FT Racing Track in Guangzhou, which attracted over a 100 racers from all over China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and further afield with drivers coming from Australia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. The big teams were also present at this event with top drivers present from Team Nanda, Team HongNor, Team OCM and Team Hobao, so the competition was very strong for this race. In qualifying it was Team HongNor driver Ye Xiaqing that took the TQ spot for todays final which saw 13 drivers battle it out for the top spots and were broken down into 5 Nanda NRB3, 5 HongNor X1CR, 2 OCM DT-19 and 1 Kyosho MP777 in A Final. After the 1 hour race the winner was Chen Wuzhong driving for Nanda finishing ahead of his team mate Zhu Minghui, who came home in 2nd while 3rd place went to Wang Wenpei driving a HongNor X1CR-FT.

French Buggy Nationals – Round 3

French Buggy Nationals - Round 3

Yet more racing from France, this time its the running of the 3rd round of the French electric buggy Nationals which took place last weekend, organized by the MRCI club near Paris. 114 racers were entered into the event, which took place on a grass track and in qualifying it was Antoine Rosetti driving the X Factory X-5 that took the top spot in 4wd, while in 2wd it was Olivier De Montfumat that top the times driving his Associated B4.

The 4wd main finals saw a clear win for Losi XXX4 driver, and round 2 2wd winner, Carl Maignien (represented by the shovel in the photo above) who achieved a perfect score and took the win from pole man Rossetti, who finished 2nd, while 3rd place went to TTech X10 racer, and winner of round 1, Lionel Labbez. In the 2wd class it was a closer battle with round 2 runner up, Alexander Valente, taking the win with his X Factory X-6, finishing on the same points as 2nd placed pole man Olivier De Montfumat, with the 3rd spot going to Thomas Vogel with his XXX BK2.

Patrick Hess wins Rd1 Swiss Nationals

Patrick Hess wins Rd1 Swiss Nationals

Xray have a report on their site from Swiss team driver Robin Frischkopf from the 1st round of the Swiss 1/8th buggy nationals that took place last weekend at the MBLR club track near lake Geneva. After the semi finals it was Xray driver Patrick Hess that was in the top spot for the main final followed by Robin Frischkopf while in the race Robin could take the lead which he held until a mistake meant his motor flamed out handing the lead to Hess. Robin managed to work his way back up the order to 3rd where he finished behind his team mates Hess who took the win and Francois Bossetti who came home in 2nd.

Kidderminster Nationals report by oOple

The second round of the BRCA electric buggy nationals were held last weekend at the multi surface Kidderminster track in the mid west of England. Weather was on and off for the weekend with Saturdays running for 2wd taking place in wet / dry conditions, while Sundays 4wd race was run in a lot wetter conditions (above) with the result being called after 2 rounds of qualifying due to worsening weather. oOple have of course got a great report online, including video, and should have lots of pictures online soon too, so check that and find out how Neil Cragg and Lee Martin took the class wins at this event.

Yesterday we reported on the French EFRA GP from Auxerre in which Jerome Aigoin, driving for Kyosho took the win ahead of fellow French man Renaud Savoya for Mugen with Crono racer Davide Tortorici in 3rd. Jerome Aigoin wins French EFRA GP

Jerome Aigoin wins French EFRA GP

French Kyosho driver Jerome Aigoin has carried through his quick pace from qualifying into the main race, to win todays top final at the French EFRA GP, held at this years European Championship track in Auxerre. Jerome only lined up in 3rd position after a finishing 3rd in the fastest semi final but he had the pace when it mattered and could take the lead which he could extended to almost 1 lap, to win ahead of fellow French racer Renaud Savoya driving a Mugen. The final podium spot went to Italian Crono racer, and current Italian National Champion, Davide Tortorici who was only 5 seconds behind Savoya while the Mugen of Daniel Vega came home 4th. Pole position sitter after the semis was current European Champion Yannick Aigoin who came home 12th and was the only non finisher, running into trouble at 25 minutes, which ended his race.

Arnaud Collet rejoins Kyosho

Arnaud Collet rejoins Kyosho

Current French 2wd National electric buggy Champion, Arnaud Collet, has rejoined Kyosho leaving behind a deal with Team Associated which saw him win last years Nationals when he drove a B4 to the title. Arnaud is present at this weekends 3rd round of the French National Championship driving his new ride, the Kyosho Ultima RB5, and we will bring you the results from this event as soon as we get them.
