Round 4 of the Answer-RC Winter Series was held at the PDMCC club this past weekend. Chilly weather made for challenging conditions and it was Team Associated’s Neil Cragg who made the best out of it, taking the TQ and also the win in the 22-minute A-main event, leaving behind HB Racing pilot, Nick Cox in 2nd, some two laps down. Allan Ward (HB Racing) rounded out the top 3 results another lap down.

Round 3 of the Czech Masters Series was held at the Sport Arena in Prague this past weekend. The electric off-road series saw the running of five different classes and in 2WD Mod Buggy it was Max Götzl (Xray) with the clean sweep after the four qualifiers for the overall TQ from SWorkz’s Jiri Mara on the 2 spot. The triple A-main events then again saw Max on top and with three straight wins he took the overall from Antonia Kovalszki (Xray) in 2nd and Jiri Mara in 3rd.

The second round of the Xray Racing Series Poland was a joint race together with the Polish Nationals and it attracted more then 300 entries for the electric on-road and off-road classes. Held in the Polish “RC capital” Lodz, the races were held on purpose-built tracks in the Atlas Arena with the two main tracks being added by drift, trail and micro racing tracks. Racing-wise and in the on-road classes it was Jakub Rozycki (Xray) who was unstoppable in Touring Modified with the TQ and overall win. Filip Jasionowski (Xray) came in 2nd and Arkadiusz Smyk (Tamiya) ended the day on the 3 spot.

Round 3 of the Rockstar Winter Off-road Series was held at PDX RC Underground in Portland, Oregon this past Saturday, attracting nearly 60 entries. The Modified 2WD Buggy class saw Andy DiBrino taking the overall TQ and also the wins in A1 and A2 of the triple A-main events, leaving behind Joe Pillars in 2nd and Ryan Reavis in 3rd.

The iconic Speed Paradise track in Buenos Aires, Argentina, home of the 2012 IMFAR Nitro Buggy Worlds, recently held a their Speed Paradise club race that was attended by some of the country’s fastest off-road racers. In Pro Nitro Buggy it was Nicolas Bregante with the overall TQ, however he couldn’t convert it to a win as Emilio Iacobucci would walk away with the silverware. Nicolas had to settle for 2nd and in front of Gianni Lupacciolu in 3rd.

Ielasi Tuned have announced the signing of Germany’s Kim Einert to their team. The fast young girl will start her 2020 campaign for her new engine sponsor at the IBR Padova One Race One Man event with other appearances will include the EFRA European Championships in Spain as well as select major international and national races. Kim says:
I am super happy that I can say I am part of team Iealsi Tuned. I’m looking forward to good teamwork and growing up with Ielasi Tuned. I can not wait to start this new project. Last year at the Bitty Contest in Italy I met Daniele first time. He saved the rainy Friday. Already from day one we got along well. The Reedy Race have announced that JConcepts and Pro-Line will continue to be the official tire and insert suppliers for the 26th running of the Reedy International Off-Road Race of Champions. The only tire/foam combinations allowed at the event are the Pro-Line MC Electron (#8239-17) and Pro-Line Closed Cell Inserts (#6185-03) for 2WD front, as well as the Pro-Line MC Positron (#8256-17) and Pro-Line V2 Closed Cell Inserts (#6185-04) for 2WD rear while 4WD buggy will use JConcepts Silver Ellipse (#3198-06) and JConcepts Closed Cell Inserts (#3230) for the front and JConcepts Silver Ellipse (#3196-06) and JConcepts Closed Cell Inserts (#3232) for the rear. All the tires and foam are 2.2” size and may only be mounted on 2.2” wheels. A complete list of tire rules will be updated and can be found here. A designated tire saucing area will be set up and all application of the provided controlled tire additive must be done at this location. Included with each entry is one set of branded control tires and inserts. These will be distributed after OCRC open practice on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 that runs from 3pm-8pm. Any tire used during a scored round at the Reedy Race must have a branding mark from the event which is only available for purchase from OCRC Raceway during the event dates of January 23-26, 2020.

Mills Pond RC Speedway of Fort Lauderdale, Florida held round 2 of the Battle At The Pond series last weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Chris Laos with the overall TQ and the young man would also bring home a popular win in the 20-minute A-main event, leaving behind Robert Romano in 2nd, a lap down. A further lap down Kevin Neumann would complete the top 3 result. Over in 1/8th E-Buggy it was again Chris Laos with the overall TQ and win, leading the single 10-minute A-main event from tone to tone. 4th place qualifier, Kevin Neumann came in 2nd, some 26 seconds behind as 6th place qualifier, Nelson Garcia came in 3rd overall.
