Adam Drake doubles at JBRL Nitro Series finale

Pro-Line Racing hosted the final round of the JBRL Nitro Series this past weekend with the event having 120 entries including Adam Drake, Cody King, and Joseph Quagraine. Drake was the top qualifier in both rounds of qualifying for Nitro Buggy and Nitro Truck. In the Buggy class, Drake pulled away from the field in the early stages of the race, but had a bad lap or two and allowed Cody King to catch up. Adam and Cody had a great battle in the middle part of the race, but Drake eventually settled into a groove and distanced himself from the field.  Drake took the victory followed by Cody and Joseph. Elsewhere in the Nitro Truck final, Adam Drake led wire to wire and took the victory.

Schumacher Indoor Masters Rd3 – Report

This past weekend saw the third round of seven of the 2016/17 Schumacher Masters Series, hosted by Worksop Radio Car Club at the North Notts Community Arena, Worksop. The quick, open track sported some particularly long sweeping corners, tight jump sections and carpet only used on one jump. This event also saw new steel marshal protectors located at the quicker areas of the track. Overall in the 2WD class TQ holder Craig Collinson came out fastest in the A-mains from Greg Williams and Mitchell Fiddling.

Griffin Hanna doubles at Master Of Dirt race

The 2nd annual Master Of Dirt race was held at BeachRC in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with close to 250 entries. Griffin Hanna took TQs in all three classes of 2WD Modified, 4WD Modified and Modified Stadium Truck. In the finals Griffin continued to dominate, taking wins in 2WD Buggy and Mod Truck to round out a near perfect weekend.

Burak Kilic sweeps Danish 1/8th Off-road finale

Braming in Denmark played host to the final round of the National 1/8th Off-road Championship. The event kicked off with E-Buggy and Nitro Truggy classes on Saturday with the qualifiers being started right after a single round of practice. Agama’s Burak Kilic would take the TQ after the qualifiers and he would also come out fastest after the triple E-Buggy finals to take the day’s win from TLR driver Jan Larsen in second and Mugen’s Florian Müller in third.

Cavalieri dominates Team Associated Off-road Champs

The 2016 Team Associated Off-road Championships were held this past weekend at Trackside R/C in Brookfield, Wisconsin. After qualifying was complete, Ryan Cavalieri would got onto TQ 2WD Modified Buggy, Modified Truck, and 2WD Modified Short Course. He would also tie for the overall TQ in 4WD Modified Buggy, but was just edged out by his teammate Spencer Rivkin. Cavaleri would then win A-Main one and two of 2WD Modified Buggy to take home his first championship of the weekend. Cav then would also win A-mains two and three of 4WD Modified Buggy to take home his second championship and to round out a perfect weekend he would also come out fastest in the single A-mains in Modified Truck and 2WD Modified Short Course to complete the sweep for the weekend.

Ribeiro & Ramos win at Portuguese Cup

The 1/10th Electric Off-road Portuguese Cup was held at the Indoor RC Oeste track in Torres Vedras near Lisbon. With a refurbished track and a good turnout of drivers in both the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes, the race was full of intense battles. In 2WD it was Nuno Casal Ribeiro (Team Associated) that took the TQ and overall win but not without being heavily chased by the youngest pilot, 10-years old Pedro Gomes (Team Durango), with the victory being decided on the last lap of the second final. The final step on the podium went third to Marco Timóteo (Xray).

7th Annual Northwest Invitational – Announcement

The 7th Annual Northwest Invitational will be held November 19th to 20th at Cottage Grove R/C Raceway in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Over the past six years, The Northwest Invitational has brought in some of the best factory drivers in the World including 4-time IFMAR World Champion Ryan Cavalieri, 2-time World Champion Jared Tebo, and ROAR National Champion Dustin Evans. The event will see triple bump-up A-mains and it is held in an Invitational 2WD Mod Buggy class as well as 2WD Mod Buggy Open, 4WD Mod Buggy, Super Stock 13.5T Truck, Stock 17.5T Buggy, and also 2WD Mod SCT. Jakarta Regional Buggy Championship finale – Report

Jakarta Regional Buggy Championship finale – Report

The final round of the Jakarta Regional Buggy Championship was held at the Graha Raya track in Serpong, West Java. A total of 38 drivers attended the event that saw three rounds of 10-minutes qualifying with the two best rounds to count. The finals were then run with five drivers bumping up into the 45-minute main final. John Agus (Kyosho/O.S.) grabbed the TQ but in the final, that was run in wet and muddy conditions, it would be Indra Liono (Xray/SPower) to take the win from Adrian Wicaksono (Mugen/Reds Racing) second and John Agus in third.
