Aaron Stringer wins Truggy at Queensland State Titles

Around 100 drivers attended the recent Queensland State Titles held at the Logan Off Road Club in Brisbane, the same venue that hosted the Australian National Titles for 2014. Reds Racing’s Aaron Stringer suffered from missing the practice sessions and some of the qualifiers due to work commitments but come the 45 minute Truggy A-main Aaron got a great start and was in 2nd place by the 2nd lap, after coming from 8th on the grid. After a good tussle with SWorkz team driver Shane Freiberg, Aaron pulled away and never lost the lead winning by 2 laps in the 45min A-Main. Later the Buggy A-Main was the last race of the day and what a race it was, the lead changed a few times but in the end Aaron took a 2nd place behind Kyle McBride to cap off a great weekend.

The track was fast with a ton of bite and a nice flowing layout and with over 18 heats the days were long, but fun. In the 2WD class, Team Associated/Reedy driver Alex Kosciuszek set the pace and he took the TQ to start the 6-minute main event. From the start of the race, “Alex K” battled with Team Associated privateer, Kyle Rhodes, but a few mistakes from Rhodes saw Kosciuszek extend his lead and take the victory with Rhodes in second. In the 4WD Modified class it wasn’t even close. Kosciuszek dominated the competition by being the only driver to turn 25 laps.
