Felix Law TQs & wins at ROAR Region 4 Regionals

Valkaria RC Raceway of Malabar, Florida hosted the 2020 ROAR Region 4 Asphalt Regionals last weekend with over 90 entries. In the Touring Modified class it was Felix Law with the overall TQ and also a dominant win in the single 6-minute A-main, leaving behind Dave Vera in 2nd, already a lap down as Paul Wynn came in 3rd, some 4.4 seconds behind Dave.

Terry Rott wins at Midwest Series opener

Round 1 of the Midwest Series was hosted by the One Eighth Racers of Toledo this past weekend with nearly 50 racers in attendance. In the 1/8th Open class it was Ralph Burch with the overall TQ from Terry Rott in 2nd. With Ralph scoring a DNF in the 30-minute A-main event following a crash on the opening lap, it was Capricorn pilot Terry who ultimately came out on top a lap in front of Scotty Ernst (Infinity) as Jason Conley (Infinity) came in 3rd overall, only 1.5 seconds behind Scotty.

Adam Izsay TQs & wins at Hungarian large scale nats Rd1

The opening round of the Hungarian large scale on-road nationals was hosted by the RC Pecs club this past weekend. The touring car class saw Adam Izsay with the overall TQ and he also came out on top after the main event, leaving behind Zsolt Bajusz Junior on the runner-up spot. Zoltan Szabo completed the all-RS5 top 3 podium result.

Mibosport Summer Race – Report

The annual Mibosport Summer Race was held this past weekend on a nice track in Blansko, Czech Republic with 56 entries taking part across 6 classes, Modified, Pro Stock 13.5T, GT Stock 13.5T, Formula, FWD and 1/10 GT Pancar. In the Modified class it was a dominant performance from Matěj Šulc who took all qualifiers. And in the finals it was no different, with Matěj taking the win in the first and second mains to seal the overall win. After some nice driving second position went to Petr Grof with Jiří Vyšín in third position.

Joaquin Desoto wins at Nugget’s Ranch Raceway

Nugget’s Ranch Raceway of Arcadia, Florida held a race event last weekend, attracting some of the state’s fastest nitro and electric on-road racers. In the premier class of 1/8th Open it was Joaquin Desoto Sr. (Serpent) with the win in the 20-minute A-main event, a lap in front of Peter Breton (Shepherd). Hector Lopez (ARC) came in 3rd overall, another two laps down.

Natanaele Senesi signs with Dash

Dash have announced the addition of Italian frontrunner, Natanaele Senesi to their factory team. The all-round talent and multiple Italian 1/8th GT champion will use Dash electronics and Arrowmax batteries to power his rides from now on and he has the following to say about the deal:

I’m really stoked about this opportunity since I think that Dash is doing an amazing job to develop premium quality products. Their ESC and motors, along with Arrowmax batteries, will be a perfect fit in my package and I can’t wait to race with this combo with my 1/12th pan-cars and 1/8 GTE. EFRA announce 2020 40+ Euros cancellations

Due to the ongoing World-wide Corona pandemic, the EFRA has announced the cancellation of all European Championships for 2020. This means that, following the cancellations of the 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring, Large Scale On-road and Off-road, was well as the Nitro Buggy and IC Track Euros, also the 2020 40+ IC Track and 40+ 1/8th Off-road events will not take place this year. Jeff Whiting wins at Texas Biggie 43

The RCRCNT Raceway in Butleson, Texas held the Texas Biggie 43 this past weekend in several 1/10th, 1/8th and 1/5th scale on-road classes. The event attracted nearly 60 entries and in 1/8th Masters it was Scotty Ernst (Infinity) with the overall TQ from the Serpent duo of Jeff Whiting in 2nd and Darrel Bird in 3rd. The start of the 40-minute A-main event saw Scotty have a great start and he was able to keep calm for the first five minutes with Jeff Whiting right behind him. Scotty slowly was able to build up a lead and put some space between his and the field until his nitro gremlins struck again. 31 minutes in with only 9 minutes to go Ernst had built up a 2-lap lead until he lost a front belt. Scotty was able to keep it on the track for the remainder of the race but could not hold off Jeff and had to settle for 2nd some three laps down as Darrell Bird came in 3rd, another seven laps down.
