One week ago the final of the Alpen-Cup, a racing series based in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, was held at the fast track of the MRT Rosenheim club. Among the 65 participants was Shepherd driver Maxi Vogl, showing good performance all weekend. In qualifying he managed to secure a direct-qualifier spot placing 3rd behind Christian Wimberger and Felix Heyse. At the start of the final Wimberger made a mistake and crashed at the end of the straight. Heyse and Vogl took over the lead and increased the gap on the rest of the field. The lead changed many times due to a different pit strategy but at the middle of the race Heyse made a mistake and slipped into the grass. His mechanic Robert Pietsch had to put him back on the track allowing Vogl to increase his lead to 2 laps which he kept until the checkered flag. Heyse finished 2nd in front of Shasa Lackner who completed the podium.
