Danish National title for Martin Lissau

Danish National title for Martin Lissau

The last round of the Danish 1/10th scale nationals was run at GRRC club. The track is very nice but hard to drive without any mistakes. Shepherd driver Martin Lissau arrived at the track already on Friday, but as the conditions were not the best there was not much practice action. On Saturday 4 rounds of qualifying were scheduled. Martin Lissau took the pole-position with his Velox V10 in front of Claus Ryeskov and Martin Hansen. The 30 minutes final was run on Sunday afternoon. The temperatures were really cold and Lissau had some difficulties to find the correct engine setup. He took a time-out to adjust the engine and had to start from the last position of the grid. But already at the first pitstop he was back in front and never looked back for the rest of the race. With this result Lissau had enough points to secure himself the Danish 1/10th scale nitro championship title.

Xray deal for Nicolai Nielsen

Xray deal for Nicolai Nielsen

Team RcHouse in Denmark have announced the signing of one of Denmark’s top Super Stock drivers. After a long period of dialog they have secured the services of the experienced Nicolai Nielsen to be their new team driver. Looking forward to many great results in the future, Nicolai will drive the Xray T3 and other products from Team RcHouse and NorthTQ. Nicolai had the following to say about the deal:

To come to this choice to switch my Serpent car has been a long and difficult choice to make. After nearly three years running the Serpent S400, in which time I have accomplished some of my best results, e.g. two Danish National championships, a DRCMU regional championship and an ETS round win, it was in no way easy to make the final decision. It has been some good years. So my thanks go to Serpent MRC, ARRC by Allan Rasmussen and New Heading, for all your help and support through this period. Thanks guys! It’s been priceless. But after my talks with Kim Lindegaard from Team RcHouse, I’m sure my agreement with them will bring more good result. I’m really looking forward to drive my new Xray T3 and hit the tracks, to see what can be accomplished with this new gear in this new team.

Simon Kurzbuch wins again in Switzerland

Simon Kurzbuch wins again in Switzerland

The 6th round of the Swiss 1/8th scale Nationals took place in Langenthal last weekend. Even if the two Swiss Champions in the Amateur (Stefan Köhl/Shepherd Velox) and Expert (Mattia Pesenti/Motonica) classes were decided, a lot of racers still arrived Friday but the weather and the track was too wet for getting a good setup and just one driver tested his car in Friday afternoon. On Saturday the weather was again bad, but the race must go on and so all racers took part in qualifying and at the end of the day there were some unfamiliar drivers at the front.
