Thunder Tiger Europe have signed Polish National Champion Dennis Fadtke to race their line of Associated electric cars. The German driver, who raced a Tamiya in the past will run the TC6 touring car internationally as well as running the B4.1, B44.1 and RC12RS at selected events. Dennis is looking forward to working together with TTE and wanted to give special thanks to Niko Triandafilidis for his great support in previous years.
Xray is proud to announce that former European Champion Dirk Wischnewski re-joins team Xray for 2011. The German driver had this to say about the new deal:
After 3 successful years with Team Xray I’m happy that we continue our partnership in the future. In the upcoming season I will race not only the 1/10 nitro touring with the Xray NT1 but also I will compete in the German 1/8 On-road Championship with the brand new Xray RX8. My main goal for the upcoming 1/10 nitro touring racing session is to win the European Championship title again, this time in my home country. Ronald Volker has successfully defended his EFRA European Indoor title with victory over the weekend in Hrotovice in the Czech Republic. The Yokomo driver dominated proceedings, as he has done in almost all races in the past 12 months, and took the TQ spot in qualifying ahead of Xray driver Alexander Hagberg in 2nd and Yokomo team mate Yannic Pruemper in 3rd. In the finals Ronald checked out in the first two to wrap up the title early and so didn’t race the 3rd leg allowing Pruemper and Hagberg to battle it out for the runner up spot. Hagberg with two 2nd spots in the first legs looked favourite to take it but a diff problem allowed Pruemper to snatch the leg win and claim 2nd overall on a tie breaker, with Hagberg having to settle for 3rd spot.

2006 Touring car World Champion Andy Moore has won this year’s annual TITC race in Bangkok, Thailand held at the awesome new RC City venue. The factory Hot Bodies driver dominated proceedings from practice, through to qualifying, taking 4 of the 6 qualifying heats to line up on pole position for the A-main ahead of Shin Adachi, Jilles Groskamp, Marc Rheinard and Atsushi Hara. In the finals Andy was untouchable and took all three A-mains in dominant fashion to win from Tamiya driver Jilles Groskamp in 2nd and Hot Bodies team mate Atsushi Hara in 3rd.

IDM have announced that Matrix and former World Champion Daniele Ielasi will continue their partnership going forward. The deal sees Daniele continue to be sponsored by the Italian tire company, while Matrix will produce the new range of IDM branded tires.

Giving you another on road gas race option in Italy for the weekend of the 12 and 13th of March, the organisers of the Trophy Shepherd race were in touch to promote their event. Held at the Miniautodromo Mesero, this race is open to both 1/8th scale and 1/10th scale 200mm classes and as well as attracting some top drivers such as Daniele Ielasi, it will be the first European race for new Shepherd signing Ronald Volker.

Xray have announced the re-signing of German driver Eric Dankel. A three-time German National Champion, Eric is a very versatile all round driver, winning those titles in both electric and gas sedan. Eric had this to say:

Schumacher have announced the Contact Trophy race happening at the Miniautodromo Jody Scheckter in Fiorano, Italy from the 12th to 13th of March. Open to 1/8th and 1/10th scale gas on road, this exciting race which will be attended by a host of top drivers including European Champion Robert Pietsch, Simon Kurzbuch and Jerome Renaux.
