Pro-Line Slash 2wd bumper, axles & wheel nuts

Pro-Line have released a number of new items for the Slash 2wd. First up is the all-new race-inspired front bumper, brace and bulkhead, the former featuring Pro-Line’s unique ‘Flex Mount’ brace that absorbs all impacts rather than transferring them into your Truck and potentially damaging vital components. The two vertically mounted screws that fasten the Bumper to the Brace act as pivot points for the Brace to rotate around allowing the Pro-2 Bumpers to bend but not break. Next up is the Pro-2 ProTrac Axle kit with ProTrac Suspension Kit. The all steel construction of the shafts, outdrive, axles and pins provide maximum durability and can handle all the power your motor can muster. Pro-Line includes super Lightweight Outdrives in the Pro-2 Axle kit to improve acceleration by lowering rotating mass and also includes Axle Snap Rings that eliminate drive pins from ever falling out. Finally Pro-Line have new blue anodized aluminium nuts which have deep serrations that dig into the wheel and provide a secure hold against the rigors of Racing and Bashing.

Pro-Line True Scale F-150 Raptor SVT body

It is time to man up and go real with Pro-Line’s new True Scale Ford F-150 Raptor SVT truck body for Short Course trucks. Pro-Line now gives you the option to convert your Slash and SC10 short course truck into a True Scale lifted truck. Requires Pro-Line extended body mounts.

Tekno RC SCT410 4×4 SC truck

Tekno RC have announced the newest addition to their stable of RC vehicles, the SCT410 1/10th 4×4 Short Course Truck. The SCT410 shares many parts with the EB48 1/8th Electric Buggy, so you know it will be able to carve up the track and take a beating. There are many new parts on the SCT to keep weight to a minimum, including new narrower arms, lighter steering blocks, spindle carriers, rear hubs and an all new lightweight drivetrain. Add some sturdy adjustable body mounts and a front/rear bumper system and you have the SCT that everyone has been waiting for. true 1/8th scale roots with 1/10th scale weight and agility. Standard 12mm hex wheels will bolt right on (SCTE offset) and existing 7.4v SCT power systems will have no trouble pushing the SCT410 around the track. The SCT410 will be sold in race kit form and should be available in January 2013.

Team Durango DESC410 moulded shock towers

Team Durango are pleased to announce the release of the moulded shock tower set for the DESC410 range of vehicles. The set contains both front and rear shock towers for the 4WD truck moulded in a high quality engineering composite material. They offer a 35 percent weight saving over the aluminium shock towers on the DESC410R model and offer different mounting positions for the shocks and inner camber links when compared to the aluminium towers. The front tower is optimised for the longer 29mm stroke shock and features shock mounting positions that are much closer together, allowing finer tuning of the front suspension.

JConcepts body mount braces

Short Course trucks are very body sensitive. The proper body style, cut-outs, overall weight and roll characteristics can determine a properly handling vehicle. The TLR 22 SCT has a very flexible front and rear body mounts which provides several durability advantages but when it comes to performance, having a sturdy base to the body is critical. JConcepts body mount braces perform just as the name suggests and supports the body mount in high-force situations. While in the turns, the weight of the body hangs down in the rear and allows the body to flex toward the tires which causes unwanted handling and aero changes which may contribute to an ill handling vehicle. Simply install the brace as instructed and the body will now remain in a more standardized position on high-bite conditions and during hard corning.

Belgian SCT Cup Rd5

The fifth and last round of the Belgian SCT Cup 2012 took place at the Blackcountry Arena’s indoor astroturf track in Charleroi. The club, which hosted one of the EOS races in 2011, has as always been very efficient in organising the race, and even offered a glass of champagne to everyone at the end. The 2WD class saw the most attendees this weekend with some fast guys like Jean-François Renard and Nicolas Hammerton in attendance. The first and second leg of qualification was won by Nicolas Evens which gave him the overall TQ. The third leg was a tough one with four fast guys fighting hard on the track, running all together for most of the 6 minutes. In the end Jean-François was the quickest in front of Vincent Brauns and Nicolas Hammerton. In the first A-final Vincent had an excellent run with his rear motor truck. He was able to secure a second place between the two Nicolas’s and their 22SCTs. Second final started by a huge pile-up allowing Nicolas Evens to have half a lap lead. Nicolas Hammerton and Jean-François Renard fought for second place and ended in that order, separated by 1.5 seconds only. Last final saw the same guys fighting for the victory, with Vincent taking the win.

DE Racing Borrego SC wheels

DE Racing recently introduced their Borrego SC disc wheel for Team Associated, Losi Ten-SCTE and Ultima, Blitz and Slash vehicles. First available in black the wheels now also come in silver, white and fluorescent yellow. The wheels feature a tighter and stinger hex fitment, 12 internal radial ribs and thicker wall section for better durability.
