The LRP X12L Short Course 550-size motor is based on the well-known X12 brushless motor series by LRP. The longer “L” version is specially designed for the use in the somewhat heavier 1/10 scale 4WD Short Course trucks and sports adjustable timing, a sintered magnet 13mm rotor and speedy 5.0T winding that adds to the already existing 4.5T and 5.5T variants.

Yeah Racing introduce aluminium mud flap plates for Team Associated’s SC10 4×4 Short Course truck. The plates are cut from aluminium, come blue anodised and sport the Yeah Racing logo. Available in a set of four plates the parts are used to securely press the mud flaps against the rear bumper to protect the rubber parts from damage.

JConcepts popular Bar Code SC tires are now also available in blue “soft” compound. The tire is designed to excel both in new and used condition on hard surfaces that have taken rubber with either dry or wet grooved conditions. Team C have released a CAD image showing their new TS4 4×4 short course truck. Details are scarce but we have been told that it comes with an aluminium main chassis, gear diffs, a 4wd shaft system and a newly designed short course body. We have no date for release but we hope to see the final car at the Nuremberg toy fair in 2 weeks.

The 25th Annual CRCRC Winter Mid-West Championships were held January 12th-15th at The Ohio R/C Factory in Jeffersonville, OH. This is known as the first big race of the new year. Racers from as far east as New Jersey and as far west as California made the trip for this great annual event. Team Orion would have their All-Star cast of drivers in attendance which included: Current 2wd & 4wd World Champion Ryan Cavalieri, Current Truck and 4wd ROAR National Champion Jared Tebo, Mike Truhe, Shaun Dunlap, Matt Castellano and Team Orion USA Team Manager Joe Pillars. On Friday and Saturday the qualifiers were set for a length of 5-minutes. Each drivers two best points would count towards their overall qualifying position. Then on Sunday, Triple A-Mains would be ran for 7-minutes to decide the Champions in each class

Race director Bart Collins & the rest of his crew laid down a fresh layout for the New Year in order to get ready for this race.
