Xray introduce this chassis weight set for the XB4 line of 1/10th buggies. Included are two 20g brass weights and suitable hardware to mount the weights in pre-shaped pockets right behind the LiPo battery packs. Adding weight in this position adds stability and traction and the parts fit both the XB4 4WD and 2WD buggy.

New from Revolution Design Racing Products comes the battery holder plate set for the Kyosho RB6 buggy. The set includes a battery hold down plate cut from high-quality carbon fibre as well as a 7075-T6 aluminium mounting plate. The latter comes black anodised and laser-etched, as usual with RDRP parts. The set is suitable for mid and rear motor buggies as well as all battery layouts including 2S shorty, stick and saddle packs. The parts offer a higher rigidity and increased looks over the stock moulded plastic braces and should also fit the new RT6 truck.

The third round of the Mibosport Cup 2013/14 was held in Hrotovice last weekend. In the Touring Car Modified class, even with a little mistake in the first qualifying, Zdenko Kunák took the TQ ahead of Kuba Šimurda and David Nemček. Jaroslav Kopecký and Tomáš Marek completed the top 5. With a comfortable pace, Zdenko Kunák won the first A-final, making his way to the overall victory. The second A-final was better balanced – only a second separated Zdenko Kunák and Kuba Šimurda. With this tight win, Zdenko Kunák (Yokomo) secured the overall first place. The third A-final was won Kuba Šimurda (Xray) which meant second place overall with David Nemček (Xray) completing the podium.

ST Racing Concepts have heat-treated carbon steel universal driveshaft sets for the Axial SCX10 and Wraith off-road vehicles available. CNC-machined from high-quality steel and then heat treated for durability, the driveshafts add strength and increase the performance. Their design reduces backlash from the truck turning in tight radius, it improves acceleration, reduces binding and allows for more power to be continuously transferred to the wheel. They are also easy to assemble and drop right in with no modifications needed. The universals are completely rebuildable and come in gun metal or black colour as well as with green, silver or red anodised aluminium retainer sleeves.

Avid introduce the Truss wheels for 1/8th off-road buggies. They are of a totally new design and feature special channels that not only scrub some weight and rotation mass but also prevent the foam insert from shifting side to side for a more stable tyre and a more predictable handling. Rounded outer glue beads help with tyre fitment and easy gluing while offering bead protection at the same time. The name giving inner triangular ribbings help to keep the torque strength at the centre of the wheel while the slight concave design of the rim adds a different look and also wheel nut protection. The 83mm wheel will become available in white and yellow colour as in packages of 2 pairs or 6 packs.

Joseph Quagraine has taken the TQ and win at the final race of the Southern Thailand Series, which also turned out to be the final race of the JQ Asia Tour 2013. Qualifying was really close between Boi Witsarut and JQ, with Boi holding the TQ up until the final round where JQ finally had a clean run and TQed by a few seconds. Qualifying was based on the fastest time. Things got interesting for the final, as it started to rain. The final started off muddy, with some rain falling, but it stopped raining early on, and the track dried up somewhat during the race. JQ took the win from Boi in a hard fought race, which was a real test for the reliability of all the equipment.

Tekno RC have released first images and information on the forthcoming NT48 competition nitro truggy kit. Building on the EB48 and SCT410 platform Tekno’s first nitro truck is designed with performance and durability in mind and thus features newly designed “solid” lower A-arms, sturdy 6mm front and 5mm rear shock towers as well as extra long 122mm and 137mm big bore shock absorbers to make full use of the up and down travel the suspension design allows. The truck is based on a 4mm 7075 hard-anodised aluminium chassis that allows for a front or rear biased engine position to alter weight distribution and the drivetrain is equipped with straight-cut hardened steel gears, lightened outdrives and captured CV driveshafts all-round. The stopping duties are taken care of by steel brake discs and semi-metallic brake pads while the kit comes with an adjustable 4-shoe clutch system. Other features include lightened pivot balls, steering posts and wheel hubs, an easily adjustable wing mount system, the kit offers a wide parts compatibility with the other Tekno RC vehicles and it comes with a newly designed body that snuggly fits around the chassis and the side pods. The NT48 will become available early 2014.
