Arrma have upgraded their BLX range of 4WD vehicles such as the Typhon 6S buggy, the Kraton 6S monster truck and the Senton 6S short course truck. All three now include a new BLX185 brushless power system consisting of a 2050kV motor for massive torque and 60+ mph speeds, plus a waterproof, fan-cooled 150A ESC. The Tactic TTX300 radio is also new, providing fast and consistent car control. Standard features on all three vehicles are also full ready-to-run specifications minus batteries and charger, silicone oil-filled metal gear diffs, new hubs, and twin 2-3S battery trays.
Arrma have introduced their all-new Nero 6S BLX brushless ready-to-run monster truck. The 513mm long vehicle builds on a tough twin vertical plate chassis made up using red anodised aluminium which is further supported by a composite plastic exoskeleton that also acts as a support for the bodyshell. The truck is powered by a 2000kv brushless motor that is coupled to the centre aluminium bulkhead that not only sits very low in the chassis but it is also easily accessible from underneath, making for swift and easy maintenance and cleaning. What makes the Nero 6S stand out is the Diff Brain technology, a system that allows to adjust the handling characteristics of the truck by using one of the four so called Beast Modes. The servo-operated system is accessible on-the-fly using the included 2.4GHz transmitter and it offers Blast, Wheelie, Drift and Climb modes, all of which feature specific front, centre and rear diff settings. Other features of the Nero 6S include front and rear laydown shock absorbers with push rods, easy access differentials, adjustable pivot ball suspension, aluminium and steel driveshafts, and pre-glued large diameter dBoots monster truck wheels. The truck is designed for the use with dual 3S LiPo batteries and it is available with a pre-painted bodyshell and in two specifications, with or without the Diff Brain unit with the letter being available optional as an easy upgrade.
RPM have introduced wing mounts for Team Durango’s and Arrma’s latest 1/8th off-road vehicles such as the DEX8, DEX8T, DNX8, the Kraton, Typhon and Talion. The parts solve the breaking issues associated with the original mounts where primarily the front cross brace holes are cracking. RPM’s solution was to eliminate this hole in favour of a flat plane of solid nylon and on top of that the entire mount builds a curve to help add some impact flexibility during a crash. When running normally, the massive amount of material keeps the wing locked in place, providing stable down force on the rear of the vehicle. The wing mounts contain the support bars only and will require the use of the stock Team Durango or Arrma wing, two stock cross braces and stock mounting hardware.
Arrma’s Fury 1/10th scale 2WD RTR short course truck is now available as brushless-powered BLX variant. The backbone of the truck is a long wheelbase aluminium twin vertical plate chassis while an inner composite frame houses the steering servo and battery pack. Sturdy suspension components allow for easy toe and camber changes while a tough 3-gear gearbox with gear differential is build to withstand the rigour of racing and bashing. Included are also factory-installed and waterproof electronics such as a strong 6kg-cm steering servo with metal gears as well as a waterproof 80A speed controller and a 3600kv brushless motor. The kit is rounded out by grippy all-terrain short course tyres and a pre-painted bodyshell along a wall charger and 2.4GHz radio system.
New from Arrma and made for their range of 1/10th 2WD off-road vehicles are several red anodised aluminium option parts. Parts to replace the standard kit items in the Mega and BLS range kits include a short and long wheelbase TVP chassis, front and rear shock tower braces, a front hingepin hanger, a motor plate for the upgrades gearbox as well as a wheelie bar axle and servo arms for different servo makes. All parts are made from high quality aluminium, they come red anodised, some are laser-etched for that cool Pro look, and all of them offer improved rigidity over the stock parts.
The Kraton 6S BLX speed monster truck is Arrma’s second 1/8th scale kit following the introduction of the Typhon 6S BLX buggy. The truck builds on a black anodised aluminium chassis plate and features a heavy duty 3-diff drivetrain, long suspension components, aluminium big bore shock absorbers and front and rear anti-roll bars from stock. Universal driveshafts transfer the power of the 6S compatible sensorless brushless motor to the multi-spoke rims with dBoots MT tyres. All electronic components such as the high-torque steering servo and the 180A speed controller are full waterproof while being protected by an inner roll cage at the same time. The truck comes ready-to-run including a 2.4GHz radio system and a pre-decorated bodyshell with a green/carbon or blue livery.
Arrma present their updated “2014” Mega range of brushed motor 2WD off-road vehicles. Based on the proven twin vertical plate “ladder” frame, the buggies and trucks offer a super tough chassis, large volume shock absorbers and a durable drivetrain with fluid-filled gear differential. The kits are topped off by pre-painted polycarbonate bodyshells and pre-mounted multi-surface dBoots tyres for best possible traction on a variety of surfaces. Included with the factory-assembled kits also comes a fully waterproof 35A brushed controller, a 15T Mega brushed motor, a water and dustproof 5kg-cm steering servo and a 2.4GHz radio system. The Mega range vehicles are available as Raider desert buggy, Granite monster truck, Fury short course truck and Vorteks stadium truck.
Arrma has upgraded their line of 2WD off-road vehicles and introduce the BLX series brushless and LiPo-powered 2013 variants. Available as desert and race buggy, short course, desert, stadium and monster truck the vehicles base on a proofed vertical chassis construction and feature a tough 2WD gear box, long travel suspension components and dedicated wheels equipped with dBoots off-road tyres. The BLX buggies and trucks come factory-assembled with a 3S-compatible 3600kv brushless system with 4-pole motor and waterproof speed controller as well as a 7kg waterproof steering servo, 2.4GHz radio system, a Deans Ultra Plug equipped 7.4V 4000mAh LiPo battery and a 2S to 3S balance LiPo charger.
