Avid RB5/6 HD long rear axle conversion

New from Avid comes the HD long Kyosho rear axle conversion for RB5/6 2WD and ZX-5 4WD buggies. The set is designed to place the stock short type rear shafts with a longer and more rigid solution in order to improve the overall durability. Avid B44.2 aluminium centre cap

Avid B44.2 aluminium center cap

Avid’s new B44.2 aluminium centre cap is a fresh take on the design which keeps your chassis secure and makes the car easier to work on. The design eliminates 4 screws for the original cap and instead directly links the front and rear upper decks with taper mounts that key into the upper decks. The added benefit of this design is that maintenance is simplified, when you only remove 4 screws and the entire upper deck assembly is loose for easy slipper clutch removal.

Avid aluminum ballstud washer set

Avid aluminum ballstud washer set

Avid have have released their take on a traditional aluminium ballstud washer by introducing a staggered outer diameter so you can easily tell what thickness of washer you are running. As the washers grow in thickness, the outside diameter grows in steps of 0.5mm. Replace the plastic washers that come in your kit with these precision machined aluminum washers which won’t crush and change thickness when clamped. A set includes 12 pcs, 4 of each thickness 2.0, 1.0, and 0.5mm.

Avid RC TLR22 Triad aluminium topshaft

Avid RC TLR22 Triad aluminium topshaft

Avid RC’s new Triad aluminium topshaft is an upgrade for the TLR 22, 22T and 22 SCT to eliminate the special ‘mini’ kit slipper nut and use a standard 5.5 mm hex driver to set the slipper clutch. Born partly for necessity, partly for convenience, racers will appreciate this upgrade as they can go back to using a standard slipper nut. Many Triad customers had issues with TLR topshafts which fluctuated in length and did not allow for proper spring tension on the slipper clutch, this shaft aims to solve that.

Available are two variants with 1.5mm/1.1mm and 1.6mm/1.1mm holes. The pistons help provide the traction and bump handling of running lighter shock oil or larger piston holes, while still maintaining the control of running heavier oil or smaller hole piston when taking on jumps.

Avid Triad B44.2 clutch spacer

Avid Triad B44.2 clutch spacer

Avid introduce the Triad B44.2 spacer to allow the use of the Triad slipper clutch in the latest Team Associated B44.2 buggy. As B44.2 bulkheads are shifted 6mm farther apart the spacer goes behind the Triad slipper to compensate the longer slipper shaft from a B44.1 to a B44.2. The Triad clutch is meant to calm the car down and gives a smoother throttle feel than the kit VTS item for added setup possibilities.
