Avid B44 chassis set & option parts

Avid announce new option parts for the Team Associated B44.2 and B44.1 buggy. Avid 12mm 2-hole big bore pistons

Avid 12mm 2-hole big bore pistons

Avid extends their range of 12mm big bore shock absorber pistons by two flat-type 2-hole 1.5mm and 1.7mm variants. The precision machined pistons are useable with many of today’s 12mm big bore shocks such as the ones from Team Associated, TLR and Kyosho. Machined to tight tolerances the pistons reduce performance decreasing blow-by and come supplied in sets of four in a handy container. To make the most out of the company’s line of shock parts Avid also released a comprehensive piston table, a 1 page reference and setup help. The goal of the piston table is to provide recommendation on what pistons/oil to use as a standard setup, and then to dictate which pistons to use in order to change setup for grip, large jumps, and smooth or bumpy conditions. Avid 12mm spring cups & shock pistons

Avid introduces their new Avert aluminium spring cups for the new 12mm Team Associated big-bore shocks. Avid made a smaller 3mm slot and tighter fit over the shock eyelet to keep the spring cups secure and prevent shock shafts from pulling out of the plastic shock end. These spring cups add extra security to your ride without sacrificing weight or putting a huge dent in your racing budget. Also from Avid is their lineup of machined 12mm shock piston sets. The goal of these pistons was to reduce the oil blow-by on the outside of the piston and to tune the damping with the piston valving. They represent Avid’s latest development concept which helps tune high speed and low speed damping separately. Their test drivers found that these pistons help provide the traction and bump handling of running lighter shock oil or larger piston holes, while still maintaining the control of running heavier oil or smaller hole piston when taking on jumps.
