CRC 2S charge/balance lead & accessories

Coming from CRC are a new 2S charge/balance lead as well as 14AWG wire, balance extensions and 4mm to 5mm bullet adapters. Starting with the charge lead, it comes pre-soldered with 4mm bullet connectors and an XH balance connector. Also included is the 4 to 5 mm adapter allowing to use the leads on both 4mm and 5mm bullet packs. Unlike stepped adapters, the separate bullet insert has very little exposed metal, practically eliminating the possibility of a short.

CRC Carpet Knife Twenty5 1/12th scale pan car

Calandra Racing Concepts have introduced their new Carpet Knife Twenty5 1/12th scale on-road car. The 25th anniversary model is the latest in the line of CRC’s regional, national and world championship winning Carpet Knife series kits and it is building on the heritage of the CRC Xti-WC. The CK25 takes all the race winning features and adds changes and improvements to adapt to current racing conditions. The new car now features CRC’s LCG Slider rear pod that allows to make infinite ride height adjustment without moulded plastic inserts or pucks. The LCG pod allows very small tyres and lowers the centre of gravity almost 20 percent over the earlier pod.

CRC World GT-R body mounts & Formula wings

CRC have introduced adjustable aluminium body mounts for World GT-R cars as well as new formula wings. Starting with the body mounts, the parts feature a stiff delrin inner piece that slides and locks with a set screw. They also use the “flapper” rotating body rest piece for less body damage and a perfect fit. The aluminium base and machined delrin post make for a stiff rigid mount perfect for the scale World GT-R bodies.

CRC Xti-WC LCG rear pod

CRC have introduced the low centre of gravity rear pod for Xti-based 1/12th scale cars. The LCG motor pod was designed for modern racing with tiny overall tyre diameters as even with 38mm bare rims, 4mm of ride height are achievable. The new rear pod plates are made from super strong 7075-T6 aircraft quality aluminium, anodised in CRC’s signature blood red with silver double machining. The ride height adjustments are done using a slider design that does away with inserts, spacers, and washers. On top of this the centre of gravity on this pod system has been lowered greatly as the overall height is lower, the bulk of the weight is near the bottom and the upper motor screw has been lowered. The sliders are smaller and the upper plate now uses two screws instead of three. The set includes a new motor and side plate, the sliders and a rear carbon X-brace.

CRC double clamping left 1/12th hub & red hardware

CRC double clamping left 1/12th hub & red hardware

CRC have introduced a new double clamping left wheel hub for Xti-based 1/12th scale cars as well as red anodised hardware. Starting with the wheel hub, its design makes it both lightweight and balanced, something that is crucial for a proper handling 1/12th scale car. Machined from aluminium and coming red anodised the part fits all Xti-based CRC 1/12th scale cars and it will also fit any 1/12th pan car with the proper spacing on the left side bulkhead.

Kimihiko-Yano.net Xti-WC aluminium chassis

Kimihiko-Yano.net Xti-WC aluminium chassis

Japanese CRC distributors Kimihiko-Yano.net have introduced an aluminium chassis for the CRC Xti-WC 1/12th scale pan car. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming black anodised and with silver chamfered edges the chassis is about 20g heavier than the standard carbon fibre chassis for an overall lower centre of gravity. This and the increased stiffness will result in improved performance especially on high-bite surfaces with the chassis having already proved its capabilities by taking the TQ and win at this year’s All Japan Championships in the hands of Hayato Ishioka.

CRC Gen-X 10 R/T World GT-R pan car kit

CRC Gen-X 10 R/T World GT-R pan car kit

CRC have introduced their new Gen-X 10 R/T World GT-R pan car kit. Building on the proven Gen-X 10 200mm World-GT car the R/T features design tweaks especially aimed at the rubber tyre GT-R class. The kit features a slider rear pod for rear axle height adjustments without shims or insets, the chassis allows for multiple battery configurations including 2S shorty, saddle, square and full packs while using a 1S battery allows for inline, transverse, forward and back mounting positions. Other features include a fully adjustable front end including width, caster, camber and toe settings, with the front width being adjustable using different hole positions in the front end plates. The EZ-center servo mount helps to perfectly centre the steering servo and the middle shock absorber can be placed in several positions. Finally comes the full carbon Pro-Diff axle for low rotational masses. The kit will ship from early July.

McFactory Type L 1/12th scale conversion kits

McFactory Type L 1/12th scale conversion kits

McFactory have introduced their all new Type L 1/12th scale conversion kits. The “L” is in honour of National Champion Donny Lia, who was instrumental in the development of this new car. The kits were designed for the new high-bite black CRC carpet and feature inverted sidelink mounts to allow for a narrower chassis that in turn makes for more undisturbed chassis roll on the high-grip carpet without dragging while also moving weight closer to the centre of the car. Also included are raised front carbon bumpers that remove nose weight and solve the dragging issues everyone has on the new carpet. Finally a recessed tape slot in the centre does away with the battery tape getting cut or caught. The Type “L” conversion will be made for the CRC, Team Associated, Serpent, TOP, SpeedMerchant, Roche, and Xray cars with the later will also come with the rear pod moved 2mm towards the diff and a new top plate. Another cool option is the ORCA shock mount with the speedo screwing into the chassis and an upper heatsink carbon fibre brace acting as shock mount. Non Orca kits will utilise the standard shock mounts from whatever chassis is converted.
