Infinity IF14 steering blocks, uprights & C-blades

Infinity have released a number of new parts for its IF14 touring car ahead of the 2018 season. Newly designed steering blocks that now include a built in angle stopper are offered in two material options. With a “hard” option to cover a wide range of track conditions, a “super hard” graphite option has also been produced to deal with high grip road surfaces. The super hard blocks are also suitable for creating greater steering response and giving the car a more agile overall set-up.

0.5mm carbon fibre suspension shims for IF14

Designed specifically for the Infinity IF14 are 0.5mm carbon fibre suspension shims. The parts are machined from high-quality carbon fibre and are designed to increase the track width by 1mm, whilst leaving the driver with maximum toe and roll-centre options and making the car easier to drive in medium and high-grip conditions. The suspension mount shims are simply bolted between the suspension holders of the car and the bulkhead. The shims are sold in sets of four, and they become available at the beginning of 2018 here.

Infinity IF14 PRS passive rear steering system

New from Infinity is the release of the PRS passive rear steering set for their electric touring car. The latest optional release for the IF14, PRS helps to achieve greater corner speed by changing the toe angle of the rear tyre according to the amount of stroke of the rear suspension. The amount of rear toe angle can can be fine tuned by the mounting angle of the linkage rod. In addition, the height of the steering block has two height options so it is possible to change the roll centre to correspond to the track conditions and layout.

Infinity IF14 CVD joint cover tubes

Infinity have released a set of joint covers for use on the double jointed CVD of their IF14 electric touring car. The covers are aimed at preventing the G-Clip from accidentally coming off during running. Supplied in two 50mm lengths, drivers cut 10mm lengths for use on each CVD with slight heating of the tube creating the perfect final fit. An extra benefit of the cover is that it helps retain grease in the joint therefore extending the life-span of the parts and the maintenance cycle.

Infinity IF14 alloy bellcrank and Ver.2 double joint CVD

Infinity have added two new optional parts for their IF14 electric touring car which are designed to offer increased steering angles, the latest releases being an aluminium bell crank and Ver.2 double jointed front CVD set. Made from black anodised T7075 aluminium, the new 18mm bellcranks have increased rigidity resulting in improved steering response. The newly designed shape of the bellcrank also makes it possible to achieve greater steering angles than with the standard crank. The Ver.2 double joint CVD has been released to be used in combination with the new bellcrank as they have been designed specifically to offer smooth drive at the extended steering angles that can now be achieved.

Infinity IF14 aluminium flex main chassis

Coming from Infinity and arriving in time for the indoor carpet season is an aluminium flex main chassis plate for the IF14 touring car. Made from 7075 alloy with a black anodised finish, the design and cut-outs of the fully symmetrical 2mm chassis has been optimised to offer perfect chassis flex.
