Fenix Mistral 2017 formula car kit

Fenix have introduced the 2017 variant of their Mistral 1/10th formula pan car kit. The evolution of the successful car features a new 16-ball ball differential with 1/4 inch Grade 5 titanium rear axle, triple ball bearings, thrust bearing and triple pressure springs for improved handling on all surfaces. The ball diff furthermore features a CNC-machined 84T 64 pitch main gear, large support plates for the diff rings and thanks to its design there is no axial load on the bearings which results in much longer life of all parts involved. The 2017 kit also comes with full titanium turnbuckles, a new front arm geometry, dual side dampers, inline/trailing front axles, longer titanium kingpins to accommodate after market springs and a special shock absorber with dual speed stroke improves traction. The car is available with a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis or a 2mm 7075-T6 main plate.

Fenix ball diff & other pan car option parts

Fenix Racing have introduced their new formula car ball differential as well as other optional for pan and formula cars. Starting with the ball diff, the assembly uses a 1/4″ Grade 5 titanium axle shaft, triple ball bearings and its design takes axial load away from the bearings for improved durability and higher crash resistance as there is no contact between the ball bearings and the thrust race. The 16-ball diff also features triple disc springs, it utilises a 64 pitch 84T CNC-machined main gear and it weighs in at only 38g.

Fenix Extra Mile High oil & Black Syrup grease

Fenix Racing have two new chemicals available in the form of the Extra Mile High ball bearing oil and Black Syrup thrust bearing grease. Starting with the oil, the chemical is a genuine aircraft-grade lubricant, usually used in high-speed turbines. The synthetic oil is oxidation and corrosion inhibited and shows great stability in low and high temperatures. It comes in a 10ml bottle with needle applicator for precise application. Also new is the high-grade Moly-based Black Syrup thrust bearing grease. It is ideal for all high-pressure applications and thus not only usable with thrust races but also driveshafts, gears and more. Last but not least comes a 12ml syringe with curved tip that can be filled with your choice of oils or greases. The curved applicator helps to easily rear almost any area of an RC car.
