Hot Bodies Factory Tools

Hot Bodies Factory Tools

A few days ago we wrote about some new releases from Hot Bodies, which included a new range of tools. Hot Bodies have now released more information about that range and besides the standard hex wrenches and screw drivers, there are also some set-up tools and turn-buckle wrenches. For helping with set-up, HB have released this black anodised droop gauge and matching pair of 20mm tall droop blocks, with the gauge able to measure from 0mm to 10mm in 0.5mm steps. For adjusting 3.7mm turn buckles HB have released a 80mm long wrench, which like the other tools is black and sports a HB logo on the side.

Hot Bodies Cyclone chassis posts

Hot Bodies Cyclone chassis posts

One part of the Hot Bodies Cyclone Carpet spec that we missed when we first wrote about it was this aluminium chassis post set with adjustable torsion control, which gives the ability to quickly adjust to changing traction conditions at a busy race. The use of these posts along with the solid upper rear and middle deck increase stiffness, while the adjustable torsion control enables you to precisely dial in your car and knock off those tenths needed to get ahead of the competition. Hot Bodies Cyclone D2 2wd buggy

Hot Bodies Cyclone D2 2wd buggy

We already brought you some information, as well lots of close up photos of the new Cyclone D2 from Hot Bodies during the Toy Fair last week, but now HPI have published complete information about the car. In development for over a year it has been designed with strength, tuning, maintenance and compatibility in mind. The most unique thing you’ll notice is the aluminium main chassis, machined from 7075-series alloy, serves as the backbone of the Cyclone D2 and also as a solid mounting point for all the critical components of the buggy. The battery tray can fit standard 6 or 7 cell sub-C batteries or any hard case Li-Po pack designed for RC cars, held in place with large thumbscrews for a secure fit. By using stiff foam padding and offset cell trays you can easily alter the weight balance of the buggy for increased steering or more traction.

Toy Fair – Hot Bodies Cyclone D2

Hot Bodies Cyclone D2

Hot Bodies have the company’s new Cyclone D2 2wd electic buggy on display. This long awaited and much hyped car is here apparently only still in its prototype form but it looks pretty good. Shown only under a glass cover, the car comprises of a tub chassis, similar to other cars in its class as well as having the electric motor mounted behind the rear axle. The version we saw also had carbon shock towers, but without having talked to a Hot Bodies rep I cant tell you any more about it.

UPDATE: The car also has a metal chassis, which I hadnt noticed before.
