JConcepts RM2 black flywheel wrench

Coming from JConcepts is the black RM2 flywheel wrench. With the popularity of the 4-shoe clutch design, it is now more necessary than ever to have a wrench handy to assemble things correctly. Ryan Maifield, combined with the designers at JConcepts, have developed a simple and handy tool for the nitro racers toolbox. The all-aluminium, CNC-machined part is precision manufactured to close tolerances to ensure a tight and clean fit for a variety of 4-shoe clutches on the market. During a routine event, it is common for racers such as Ryan to disassemble and assemble the clutch several times during a weekend for proper maintenance or tuning needs. For consistency and longevity, its best to use a tool which provides the same touch and feel each time during tear downs and build-ups. Proper care, and a schedule which can be repeated, always lead to better finishing results. The RM2 flywheel wrench enables the racer to check another easy to use, assembly and maintenance tool off the list.

JConcepts 1970 Chevy C10 12.3” WB body shell

Made for 1/10th scale trail trucks such as the Traxxas TRX-4, the Element RC Enduro or the Axial SCX10 is JConcept’s new 1970 Chevy C10 body shell. It captures the look and feel of the era just beautiful with the hood of the Chevy being rock solid in shape that planes across the center ridgeline. Side windows fit within the geometry as expected with classic vent windows lining the front corner. The bed styling features the bodylines that make the Chevy authentic vintage and a slight recess in back provides a healthy setting for body mounts or other aftermarket accessories. Front and rear bumpers are molded into the design giving the truck solid looks without bolt-on parts or additional pieces. Side-markers on the 1970 are horizontal which is also included in the decal sheet. The wheel wells are large and tasteful 1:1 representation for the most clearance or maximum articulation with large tires, it might be necessary to trim further into the fender flares for extra-large tire sizes. The years 1967 to 1972 showed a lot of looks through Chevrolet and GMC variants. With small changes to grille, headlights, and trim packages throughout the years, JConcepts has added a bonus to the included decal sheet. JConcepts L8D “decked” late model body shell

JConcepts 2002 Chevy S-10 drag truck body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new 2002 Chevy S-10 drag truck body shell. The 2002 S-10 was mimicked the larger Chevy pickups during this time with the horizontal bar grille and nicely rounded contours. It looks like a truck, no tricks, no gimmicks, just sincere serviceability and drive. The front-end of the truck designed itself with a lot of carry-over features from the Chevrolet brand which is embodied in the included decal sheet. The hood and cab have been lowered to provide minimal drag to the truck and lends itself to the trucks overall squatty appearance. The bed area has been flattened and raised to provide a lot of clearance and another low-drag feature built into the shell. JConcepts has included a heavy hood-scoop touching off against the windshield and rounding into the front-end until tangency hits. The 13” wheelbase is positioned allowing flexibility on a variety of chassis builds including custom and Team Associated’s new DR10 vehicle. Fender flares are built into the rocker panel just as the scale S-10 and just open and flare enough to house drag racing tires such as the JConcepts Hotties. Included with each body set comes a 2002 Chevy S-10 decal sheet, rear wing option including lower support and upper wing spoiler and the paint mask for all windows.

JConcepts 1955 Chevy Bel Air Drag Eliminator body

JConcepts is further growing their range of Street Eliminator drag body shells with the latest addition being the 1955 Chevy Bel Air. Since the late 1980s the 1955 Bel Air body has been an icon of fast door slammer racing since it first appeared on the scene. A decade ago, the body style was refined to an even more radical updated version of the classic American icon for modern day 240+ mph pro modified use. Taking on this project was not an effortless task, doing a great deal of R&D, the team went for the more race inspired style and decided to split up the design into 3 different parts. First, the main Bel Air shell has been carefully crafted via CAD and hand shaped and finish to realize the many details found on the 1955. The stunning looks, slightly modified for drag racing, create a low-profile build, racy, laid-back front grille and unmistakable front headlight section. JConcepts has designed the entire race body with the shoebox look as it was called in the 50’s. Along with the flatter straighter panels, the ’55 also has modern cues like wrap-around glass on the windshield, and tail lights that jut outward. The body shell has built-in trim along the main panels which can be painted and detailed by the user to emulate the real steel. In the rear, the drop-dome roof glides toward the trunk deck which allows the 2-piece spoiler package to drop into place. Sculpted and abbreviated, race-style, bumpers are molded with the body and just like all the rest, can be painted as desired. The front hood-scoop is a separate polycarbonate piece which has a special form just to under-cut and look the size and shape as a 1:1 counterpart. Slight fender flares give the user a hint of trimming direction for the 13” wheelbase and wheel well openings. The trim lines throughout the body provide a low-profile appearance and steady guide for a clean overall look. Included in each body set is a 1955 Chevy Bel Air decal sheet, rear wing option including lower support and upper wing spoiler and the paint mask for all windows. A front hood-scoop is also part of each body set and ready for trim, fit and finishing.

JConcepts F2I 1/8th off-road wing

New from JConcepts is the F2I rear wing for 1/8th scale off-road buggies and trucks. F2I relates to Finnisher related items morphing into a 2nd generation and this new wing fits the bill perfectly. Adding the “I” relates to it being IFMAR competition legal in terms of its side-dams being large enough to comply with rules and procedure on the world-wide racing scene. Aerodynamics are quite the buzz and the design of the wing is rather traditional with a flat base. Across the width, the five individual dividers add straight-line stability and connects the upper and lower deck. Drop louvers on each side split the deck-height funneling air flow through the core and up to the gurney. The industry first design featuring a built-in gurney eliminates the need to add additional pieces, hardware or items which are clumsy. As with all JConcepts injection moulded wings, the side dams are recessed for decals to rest without being exposed directly across its plane. The offset decal plane also provides some stability to the highly impacted area and removes a slight about of weight. To make mounting easier, JConcepts has added a handy grid area underneath to help position the wing side to side and fore and aft for the utmost versatility. The wing is available in white, black and yellow colour.
