T-Works have introduced new aluminium wheel hubs for Kyosho’s MP9 TKI4 and TKI3 buggies. Available is a 4-piece set of standard offset hubs as well as a 2-piece set of +1mm offset hubs with the latter increasing the vehicle’s track width for improved stability. All parts are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, they come black anodised for wear and with laser-etched markings for easy identification.
Coming from GL Racing is their new 3500kV HT brushless motor for 1/28th micro cars. Somewhere in the middle of kV ratings for a micro-size motor the power plant will offer linear power control, high efficiency and lots of torque for smaller circuits. The 15mm diameter motor uses dual Japanese-made ball bearings and it fits Kyosho’s Mini-Z VE cars as fellas many other 1/28th scale cars on the market.

Kyosho, beside Tamiya, are another big player that lacks to present ground breaking new kits at this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show, however a couple of new items are on show such as an exquisitely looking NSX GT3 body shell for 200mm cars or the refurbished and already introduced Inferno Neo 3.0 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. Apart from that Kyosho are celebrating their hugely popular Mini-Z micro cars, that are around for nearly 20 years now, with several new body shell variants.
Beat1Racing from Japan have introduced their new 7.4V 2S LiPo receiver battery pack specially made for the Kyosho MP9 TKI4 and TKI3 buggies as well as the GT3 on-road car. The battery measures 51x35x29mm and it weighs in at 95g. The high-capacity 2500mAh cells make for long run times and the pack comes pre-soldered with a 100mm universal-type receiver lead and 40mm XH balancer wire.

Coming soon on Kyosho’s popular Inferno 1/8th buggy platform is the Inferno Neo 3.0 ReadySet RTR nitro buggy. The vehicle makes use of the Championship winning MP7.5, comes factory-assembled and features performance parts such as front universal driveshafts, big bore shock absorbers, fluid-filled and tuneable front, centre and rear differentials as well as sealed receiver and receiver battery boxes. The buggy is powered by a KE21SP recoil starter nitro engine for ease of use a lots of power while the KC cross tyres ensure traction and stability on a variety of surfaces. The kit is rounded out by a pre-cut body shell in two colour choices and included with the RTR buggy also comes a Synchro KT-231P+ 2.4GHz transmitter. The buggy will hit stores in May.
Coming soon from Kyosho is the Inferno MP9 TKI4 Spec-A 10th Anniversary Special Edition 1/8th nitro buggy kit. The pro-built version of the recently introduced 10-year anniversary edition of Kyosho’s World Championship winning Inferno platform comes with a variety of option parts such as hard-coated shock absorber bodies, 8-hole 1.3mm pistons, Aeration shock caps, lightweight shock bushings and high upper front suspension mounts. Also included are 17.5 degree C-hubs, a 47T main gear as ole as a pre-cut body shell. The Spec-A kits are factory assembled by expert staff, personally checked by Inferno designer, Yuichi Kanai, and they will ship in May.
Coming from T-Works and made for the Kyosho MP9 TKI3 and TKI4 buggies are aluminium or brass lower suspension mounts. The items come as FF, FR, RF high or RF low mounts and are machined from either lightweight aluminium or heavy brass all of which help to fine-tune the weight distribution of the buggy. A black surface coating reduces wear and silver (alloy) or gold-colour (brass) machined edges add a certain bling to the parts.

The front shock tower is available in a S/High Mount configuration while the rear shock stay is of a standard geometry. The front upper suspension mount is supplied in High Mount configuration to match the front shock tower. All parts are machined from high-grade 7075-T6 aluminium, they come hard-coated for wear and looks, laser-etched for easy identification and they are available separately.
