Maclan Racing DRK Drag motor

Maclan Racing’s new DRK Drag motor is based on their successful V2 platform with various updates to improve overall performance specifically for drag racing. It is a pure drag race motor optimised to work with the DRK 160 ESC. All motors are 100% hand built in the USA and feature an all new 13mm DRK Ultra High Torque Rotor. Available in 4.5T and 3.5T they feature a precise aligned sensor gap for super accurate reading and is assembled using all aluminium screws.

Maclan Racing SSI Simple Soldering Iron

New from Maclan Racing, the SSI series soldering iron is lightweight, compact and designed for high heat performance with superb safety features. This soldering iron will operate from 12V to 24V DC power with a 6S Li-Po battery recommended for the best performance as the iron will heat to 450°C (840°F) in just about 10 seconds. The built-in safety features will automatically cool the iron to 400°F if it’s not moved for 3 mins and will completely shut off power and go into standby mode after 6 mins of idle time. The OLED screen displays iron status and adjustment information and all parameters can be easily and quickly adjusted by the buttons on the handle.

New from Maclan Racing, the DRK 160 Drag Race ESC is specifically designed for the extremely competitive and popular no-prep drag racing segment. The most exciting part of this ESC is its all-new 3-stage launch power control software. It is operated by a 32-Bit super fast CPU with an all new algorithm specifically designed for this class. The software was inspired by the full scale drag race cars with extremely complicated processing for the smoothest launch traction control, yet most powerful acceleration. Thanks to the powerful 32-Bit CPU the ESC is able to remap the throttle curve in 3 stages precisely, all you need to do for the win is to focus on the starting signal for the full throttle launch.

Maclan MRR V3 stock competition motors

Available in 13.5, 17.5 & 21.5 turns the new Maclan MRR V3 stock competition motors are the latest effort by Maclan Racing. Based on the successful V2 platform it sports various updates to take the overall performance to the next level. Improvements such as the all new 1-piece precision machined motor can design that eliminates the need for long motor can screws. The new design uses a total of 5 short screws saving weight and no more optional screws required. The all new stator shape meets the latest ROAR regulations for the highest legal performance, while the realigned sensor positions give a more accurate reading. Finally, the premium ultra high torque rotor is now standard by default.

Maclan Racing welcome Felix Law

Maclan Racing have announced the signing of Felix Law to their factory team. The US frontrunner and IFMAR Worlds finalist has inked a multi-year and while running Maclan Racing electronics at all major races he will also represent the brand at the track while helping with R&D of forthcoming new brushless speed controllers and motors. Felix has the following to say about the deal:

I’m excited to join the R&D team of Maclan Racing. With the initial testing of the products Willie has to offer, I found their lineup to be focusing on quality & racing needs. With all my knowledge from the past, I will do my best to evolve their product to the next level.

Maclan Racing aluminium fans & carbon guards

Maclan Racing have released their new Hurricane series aluminium fan. Available in four versions, tow each for both motors and ESCs, they come in 30mm and 40mm for both ESC and motors. To compliment the new fans, they also released a newly designed carbon fibre fan guard kit. It has 2 options that will fit all 30mm and 40mm fans on the market.

Maclan Racing V2m 4.5DR no-prep drag motor

Coming from Maclan Racing is their first no-prep drag racing motor, the V2m 4.5DR. The competition-grade electric brushless motor has been hand-assembled utilising Maclan Racing’s ultra high torque Black rotor for optimised acceleration and aluminium can screws for highest possible RPM. Each motor is also custom-shimmed to be ready to go right out of the box.

Maclan Racing sign Jörn Neumann

MW RC Cars have announced the signing of Jörn Neumann to the Maclan Racing factory team. The IFMAR World and multi-time EFRA European Champion will use Maclan Racing motors and speed controllers to power his rides this season and he has the following to say about the deal:
