MIP Wraith & SCX10 Spline CVD kits

MIP Wraith & SCX10 Spline CVD kits

MIP introduce new Spline CVD centre drive kits for the Axial Wraith and SCX10 off-road vehicles. The kits feature an updated design that was made necessary after Axial’s running changes to the chassis. The MIP kits will no longer feature the double set screw design to clamp onto the through hole but now incorporate a pin set screw for attachment. Along with that improvement MIP have also changed the drive hubs so that there is no longer any interference when it comes to making contact with the stock spur gear cover. The kits come as specific Wraith and SCX10 variants including hardware and a set of grease and thread lock.

MIP Pro8 E-buggy conversion kit

MIP Pro8 E-buggy conversion kit

Seen in prototype stages for a good amount of time; now MIP finally released more information on their upcoming Pro8 conversion kit for the SCTE short course trucks from Losi and TLR. The set includes all needed parts to convert the 1/10th 4WD short course truck chassis into a veritable Pro8 lightweight buggy as there are front and rear carbon fibre shock towers, 17mm hex wheel adapters, suitable shock pistons and springs, body mounts, front bumper and rear wing mounts as well as an assortment of small parts. The kit, that will also see a special variant for MIP Pro4mance converted trucks, is meant to hit the stores at the end of October and it will work with a wide range of body shells including TLR 2.0 gas and 2.0 electric, JConcepts and Pro-Line shells as well as the Pro-Line Bulldog RC8.2 gas body.

MIP Pro8 conversion kit for the SCTE truck

MIP Pro8 conversion kit for the SCTE truck

Prototypes of MIP’s Pro8 buggy have been around for some time and now the company released a first official image of the kit. The set is designed to convert a Losi SCTE 1.0 or TLR SCTE 2.0 into a super lightweight 1/8th buggy that will make use of the chassis, drivetrain and most of the suspension parts of TLR’s 1/10th 4WD short course truck. The lightweight drivetrain parts and somewhat lighter shocks combined with the possibility to run lighter motors and battery packs makes for an overall lighter buggy, perfect for tight indoor and outdoor tracks. There is no official release date yet but we guess it the kit should hit the stores soon.

MIP SCTE Pro4mance front linkage set

MIP SCTE Pro4mance front linkage set

Following the release of the new camber link sets for the TLR’s SCTE 4WD short course truck MIP introduce corresponding steering links. Just like the camber links the steering linkage set makes use of highly durable Dubro rod ends and genuine Lunsford titanium turnbuckles. The parts make for a lowered weight and higher precision resulting in quicker and more precise steering response. Included in the set is suitable hardware in the form of screws, conical washers and aluminium nuts.

MIP SCTE hard springs & lightweight camber rods

MIP SCTE hard springs & lightweight camber rods

MIP introduce new option parts for the TLR SCTE short course truck as well as MIP Pro4mance converted trucks in the form of a 3-pair spring kit and lightweight camber links. Starting with the spring set, it includes three spring pairs of higher spring rates as the standard springs for a wider range of tuning options. The colour-coded springs fit both the SCTE 1.0 and 2.0 and are also available separately. Also new are the Pro4 Lite camber links. The turnbuckle set makes use of durable Dubro rod ends and genuine Lunsford titanium turnbuckles to make for both light and strong camber rods. The parts are a direct replacement the stock camber rods, scrub around an ounce of weight and improve the handling and control of the truck. Included are four front and rear turnbuckles, eight rod ends as well as mounting hardware.

MIP Traxxas Race Duty CVD drive shafts

MIP Traxxas Race Duty CVD drive shafts

Now MIP’s Race Duty CVD drive shafts are offered in both steel or aluminium for many Traxxas vehicles. The new Steel line is comprised of aircraft grade steel bone for higher output machines, along with a strong steel X-Duty axle. The aluminium line makes use of light weight hard-anodised aircraft grade 7075 aluminium bones for less rotating mass, along with the steel X-Duty axle. The fusion axle is strictly designed for two-cell LiPo batteries with both versions of the drive shafts offer a maximum of durability and added rigidity over the stock parts. The CVDs are available for Slash, Nitro Rustler, Nitro Stampede, VXL and 4×4 trucks.

MIP Pucks 17.5 drive system & alloy C-CVD’s

MIP Pucks 17.5 drive system & alloy C-CVD's

MIP introduce new drivetrain option parts for a wide range of 1/10th off-road vehicles. First up is the Pucks 17.5 drive system, a blend of aluminium differential outdrives, aluminium C-CVD drive shafts and orange plastic pucks that take the place of the gnarly steel drive pins. The parts scrub around 50 percent of weight in the drivetrain increasing acceleration and deceleration while lowering motor temperature at the same time. The plastic pucks significantly reduce outdrive wear at the same time as there is no metal-to-metal contact lowering running costs over time too. The set is ideal for 17.5T stock racers and includes pucks, outdrives, a diff gear, bearings and hardware, bones and axles, lube and thread lock and it is available for the RB5/6, Ultima SC-R, TLR 22/T/SC, as well as B4, T4 and SC10 kits.

MIP Pucks Drive System & alloy B4 C-CVD shafts

MIP Pucks Drive System & alloy C-CVD shafts

MIP introduce new option parts for the TLR SCTE truck and the Team Associated B4 buggy. Starting with the SCTE part, new are the MIP Puck Drive System centre driveshafts that reduce the running noise of TLR’s 4WD SC truck. The set contains two 7075-T6 aluminium C-CVD centre driveshafts, centre input hubs and special pucks that make for a wobble free fit of the shafts in the input hubs. Taking half the weight out of the drive system the set improves acceleration and braking performance and the design significantly reduces the running noise due to zero backlash. The parts are a direct replacement for the stock TLR shafts and come including hardware for a drop-in fit.
