“No pressure” as Volker carries Mugen hopes on ISTC World Championship debut

Ronald Volker says there is “no pressure” despite the German carrying the hopes of Mugen as they make their electric touring car World Championship debut in Italy next week. After a hugely successful run of seasons with Yokomo that finally culminated in him claiming the sport’s greatest prize in China in 2016, Volker believes he goes into the 11th running of ISTC Worlds “a better all round driver”. Mugen MBX8R aluminium clutch shoes

Mugen has released two new aluminium clutch shoe options for its MBX8R 1:8 Buggy’s standard 4 shoe-clutch.  The ‘Dot 1’ option engages the clutch a little faster than the kit standard E2718, but clutch slippage at high revs and high loads is reduced. With the ‘Dot 2’ version the point where the clutch connects is the same as the kit standard E2718, but the connection is a little slippery from the bottom to the top. By combining 3 types of aluminium clutch shoes, it becomes possible to respond to various track conditions and layouts.

RC Maker MTC2 carbon upper bulkhead set

RC Maker introduce their brand new carbon upper bulkheads for the Mugen MTC2. These 2.5mm CNC Machined Upper Bulkheads allow more flex on the caster axis and provide improved traction for your MTC2 Chassis. 3 Different Versions provide different caster settings for all tuning options front and rear. Front Caster is a great tuning option to balance between high and low speed steering. Less caster provides more low speed steering for technical tracks, while more caster provides more high speed steering for fast, flowing tracks. Rear Caster on modern chassis’ defines the rear wheelbase. More rear caster shortens the wheelbase for smaller, more technical tracks where rotation from the rear is required. Less rear caster lengthens the wheelbase which provides support and stability for more open, high speed tracks where confidence in the rear is required to push. The plates use the original pill inserts and also feature the same thickness, leaving all geometry unchanged.
